Things that I want

I'm moving to a new place soon, and i'm going to have a lot more space, so I've been looking at a few things I might like to get someday.
Any of you have things out there that you'd like to get soon, or in the future? Post about it!


As for me, I found this old human thing that looks kind of fun.




It's called a bicycle. I like walking around my neighborhood, and this thing looks like more fun in use. I still don't know where to get one yet, but I'm looking!

I want... a castle.

I want to play the cello in an orchestra.

Oh everything. I want a better omni-tool camera. I want nicer clothes. I want more room for my pets.

...I want the Talons to pay for my med school. I think that's my best chance right now.

What I want most is to get another book of mine published. That and a vacation to Virmire.

Also, a human will have to help me out with this one. I want one of those bag things you carry on your shoulder. It can carry weapons, tech, books, all kinds of stuff. Starts with a "D."

This one is hesitant to proclaim the things that it wants (it presumes that this would be taken as a greedy gesture) but it will do so.

This one wants to expand its business to more wards. It has a few holdings on Tayseri. But it would quite like to own a bit of property in Zakera or Kithoi if that would not be too greedy.

I want my [Numit] degree already.

Humble Hanar, I'll sell my Restaurant on the Citadel if you're willing to pony up my asking price.

I remember seeing those - explains where Earth gets its motorcycle template from (I do still think the manual kind like this looks more like an exercise machine than a mode of transport). Have you ridden one? I meant to try but time got away from me; no idea if anyone's got any here.

Why not? Start building and make it a good one. :)

Well, think of it as a goal rather than a 'want' - where would we be without having goals to work towards?

Anyway. It's not really something I want to get (or am in any position to do anything about), but I miss the old Mesa Gen rec centre; the current crop of fitness centres around here are all those franchise ones, where everything's about pushing the specific 'image' of fitness that some PR consultant came up with (although not without the occasional unintentionally hilarious result - I saw an ad kiosk pushing a kickboxing-inspired shaping plan with the tagline 'fight weight loss', which is just brilliant). So having heard a rumour that one of the Mesa Gen's former co-directors is putting together a plan for launching a new gym, I want that to succeed, ideally not too far distant from where we live.

Also having seen the FX dailies of DotS with the junglekin virtual prosthetics added, I want a tail. But that's just idle dreaming.

Well we have exercise bikes as well.

I used to ride my bike all around my suburb, getting into shit with my friends. Before that I used to hitch a ride with my big brother, kinda clinging on. How we both didn't fall off I have no idea.

One time I rode down this massive bloody kill and predictable fell off. Scraped right up my side, arm and leg. Still got a scar from that. Freaked my poor brother out.

As for what I want:



I would really like a M-080 IFV. Or light tank. Hell, even a Grizzly, for nostalgia's sake. And also because those things can still eviscerate a Mako.

What I want...

I want kids, and grand kids and great grand kids.
I want sex, I want in crazy new ways and familiar ways with people I love.
I want to grow old and cranky with Kay at my side, and other friends, lovers and anyone else I happen to like and love.
I want our people to have a place they can call home that doesn't kill them.
I want our people to remember our collective past, the good and the bad, so we can learn and grow.
I want our people to remember who we are, that we can be part of the galactic community and still be ourselves, holding on to our own values and ideas.
I want peace, just a time when we are not trying to kill each other, remember that time just after the war when nobody everyone took a collective breath from violence? It was nice, wasn't it?
I want people to stop adding chocolate in everything dessert related, it doesn't taste right, give me an option.

And finally, I want people to stop assuming that I'm compacted, that I'm somehow related to psychopaths, that I'm enkindled, that I can read minds and the gods know what else, I have spend a lot of time trying to be other people before I was a priest, but now I want to be me.

I haven't had a chance to ride one myself. I haven't even seen one in person, but it looks fun, and I don't mind the idea of a little exercise either!


Used to? Do you still have it? If someone had or could get one that works well, and is in a place where it wouldn't be too much of a hassle to ship off-world, I'd pay for one.
I haven't found a better way to get one here, and a have a decent amount of creds saved up that I don't use. Or maybe a few old guns I'd be more than happy to trade away.

I want everything Hadas wants. And I want us to keep wanting the same things.

I want the Thane Krios Memorial Foundation to hire me full time.
I want our current projects to succeed (post upcoming).
I want my other-sister to be okay. I know she'll be Kahjean, I know she'll probably be compacted (but hell, being independent never really kept me from getting hurt). I just want her to be okay, when nobody can promise that.
I want us all to be okay.
I want to find a permanent space for my martial arts classes. I want to partner with a proper master.
I want to spend the rest of my life surrounded by drell. And aliens.

I want mango ice cream and a new pair of black boots.

i want to belong somewhere. And i want to do it without betraying someone I love. including myself.

i want my dad to smile again

I don't have that exact one, no. I have one in storage that was one of the possessions that survived the war in my apartment. You're welcome to have it, I can't use it anymore and it's unlikely I'll ever be able to again. I'll send you a few holos over PM.

It doesn't have to be exact. I'm just in love with the general idea right now.

Can I want wealth? Failing that, can I want a planet? Some people have more than one of those.

I would consider those to be perfectly valid desires. In fact, why not go all the way and say you want an entire system? Or the galaxy? I am just throwing around ideas, of course.

Galaxy would be a bit much, imagine the paperwork involved in running all of that! I mean, a planet there's probably some paperwork there, but at least it won't take me years and years to get there if I need to sort out a problem myself!

You make an excellent point. A single person controlling a galactic government probably would not be in anybody's best interest anyway.
