Spirits, Just Stop!
[A turian with a dark carapace of average height comes in full view, he's dressed in full dress uniform of the Hierarchy Land Forces, the citizenship tier 8 and staff sergeant insignia are clearly visible, as are the markings indicating he's a drill instructor, and was part of Hammer and other operations. His blue Palaven tattoos have clearly gotten a touch up recently. He's probably between 25 and 35 years old.]

Turian: "Hmm, I'm kinda new to this extranet dating thing so... yeah. Name's Tergus Sintrian. I'm a drill instructor for the 91st Palavian Legion, currently part of an officer exchange program with the humans so I'm stationed on Earth for now. I'm kinda looking for someone to spend my off time with probably on the Citadel and see where that goes? Not really looking for something serious, but I'm certainly open to it. So what I'm looking for is someone who do their duty, can kick back and read a good book, is intelligent and who occasionally stays in and watch bad movies while making fun of them. I'm dependable, loyal to the Cause, good with kids, but sometimes a bit clumsy with tech. I prefer someone with who is around the same tier as me, but it's not deal breaker if it's not the case. Yeah, so let me know if any of you wanne hang out."

[Tergus keeps looking in the camera. Seemingly trying to think of something else to say.]

Tergus: "That's it post it on CDN."
VI: "Posting on Cerberus Daily News."
Tergus: "Cerberus? What? I meant Cosmic Dating Network!"

[The turian's eyes grow wide. He begins pressing keys on his omnitool.]

VI: "Making new account... do you abide by the license and rules?"
Tergus: "No, no, no, no!"
VI: "Analyzing... no to a no to a no to a no means yes, license accepted, continuing registration... Filling in personal information, please acknowledge to continue."

[He runs towards the camera trying to access a small control panel or something as he frantically tries to abort the transmission of the recording.]

Tergus: "No Stop!"
VI: "Analyzing, No Stop... not stopping or also known as continue. Please enter a user name."

[At this point it looks like Tergus is trying to rip the camera off something, but it seems firmly embedded or fastened and doesn't budge an inch.]

Tergus: "Spirits, Just Stop!"
VI: "User name accepted, posting..."

[The feed cuts off.]

Tch. This is why you don't rely on VIs, friends. They'll post your awkward dating profile on a public site to be ridiculed. Though really, if you are just that pathetic to go on a dating site to begin with you probably deserve the shuttle wreck you end up with.

So clearly something's gone wrong, it makes me wonder why an (old) Cerberus news site isn't on the blacklist of the base' firewall thingy.

Anyhow, hi!

No. You are probably on a watchlist of some kind from visiting here. Let alone posting a video of yourself. But we shall see what happens to you. I assume nothing considering all of the other boring c-spacers that post here. But we shall see.

Also hello.

I'm just glad to see I'm not the only one who got sucked into this place because of a mix-up trying to sign up for a dating site...

Oh, and welcome. I... um... commend your very clean uniform and professional bearing.

Vigilance Ever vigilant, for they are watching.
Ha! It was only a matter of time 'fore someone else did that...

This isn't really a Cerberus site, it's one of their old server racks or something, I'm not really too sure... but it used to be Cerbie, and then some salarian fellow came along and made it better.

Either way, welcome to CDN, get a better VI, and just try and explain this to your superiors. Good luck.

(also, full dress really won't help -- trust me, I've tried)

C-Sec mail [here], personal [here], FEMES [here]. Is that all? Can I go?

We really do not need any more Hierarchy goons here.

Go away please.

Puzzle-Box Logician An idea is valid no matter its source.
Your VI is bad and you should feel bad. Welcome aboard.

Was I the only one imagining him go back and forth like at the beginning of Patton?

Going to answer these out of order a bit.

Well this is a first for me too, so eh, yeah, where do you wanne meet? Probably somewhere in public, just in case, NOT that I'm implying you've got bad intentions.

...

Or that I've got them, nobody has bad intentions with everyone. Spirits I'm really a lot smoother in person.

My name's Tergus, and I suck at e-dating.

Well I'm not the one with all that hair on my head.

Thanks, the uniform thing comes with the territory ma'am. If you're going to teach others how to conduct themselves your own conduct must be exemplary.

It doesn't, I, kinda expected that to be honest, but I didn't know what else to wear.

It was the VI that was preinstalled on the camera attachment.

No because I was here first and didn't stumble on this forum because a faulty VI (that you probably paid actual credits for.) decided to put your terrible dating profile on this site for all the sociopaths to gawk at.

Also you look ridiculous.

We really do not need any more Hierarchy goons here.

Go away please.

This is my line! Stop stealin' my schtick.

Now I got to think of something else.

Howdy Spirits, you poor sorry son of a xemna. I want to let you know that a former very earnest Hierarchy Special Ops commando on this site ended up with a radical separatist for a ladyfriend....

But I've a rendezvous with Death
At midnight in some flaming town,
When Spring trips north again this year,
And I to my pledged word am true,
I shall not fail that rendezvous.

Like I said the VI was included with the camera. I know for a fact that I don't look ridiculous, you just don't have any taste.

So... you're a dancer?

Well can't say seppers are my cup of tea, but whatever, as long as he's not aiding and abetting an active terrorist, or prevents him to do his duty I'll just shake my head and not say a word. Spirits know it's not my place to judge the heart of another man.

Infinite bleeder Look at this text to the side of my post.

It doesn't even relate to it in the slightest.
And this, kids, is why we do not use acronyms, nor do we use VIs for anything that could embarrass us.

Welcome aboard, turian, we're glad to have you.

If you are going to lie at least make it sound believable please. If people did not think you were ridiculous looking (or some other kind of shuttlewreck) then you wouldn't be begging for a relationship over the extranet now would you?

You're not very bright are you? So let me spell it out, look back at the video, see where I say; "currently part of an officer exchange program with the humans so I'm stationed on Earth for now." That means I'm in an Alliance military base, which means there's no other turian around here. Now I could waste my time looking for someone when I get some time off and am on the Citadel or I could use e-dating, set up a date beforehand so I can actually spend with someone, instead of looking for someone.

It's called planning, but seeing that you come from a race who've shown a historical lack of foresight to an almost pathological extend I shouldn't really expect you to be any different.

Greetings, Tergus. Not the site you were aiming for, but welcome nonetheless - glad to see you're sticking around anyway. (And don't worry, we've had people introduce themselves in far more embarrassing fashion, often deliberately too.) Instructor hm? The uniform looks good on you; my father did a lot of time as an instructor and felt it was the best service of his career, so I'm rather biased in their favour. :) Good fortune in your search, and stay positive - you never know where you'll find someone. (Even here - although I can't in good conscience say that's consistently a good idea; more personal bias resulting from beating the odds, I feel.)
