Hello, CDN. I actually have a question that you may be able to answer.

In the interest of trying new experiences I have decided to actually try a "solid" food for once. And since turians always go on and on about the texture and taste of a xemna steak (which for me has only been eaten in a paste thats texture is... paste) I want to experience this for myself so I can form my own opinion on it.

So what I need is a restaurant that is competent enough to serve the steak without killing me and that is also professional and decent enough to not serve me a burnt piece of vomit. I can make other possible arrangements (I have access to a cleanroom already to eat it) and I can discuss those with the staff.

Other questions (and pointless babbling and insults) can be asked in this thread.

Oh, my! Is Pariah actually trying something new? Being almost.. adventurous, even? I am sorry, I have to take this all in.

No, this whole time I have been being safe, since trying anything 'new' or 'risky' could easily lead to me dying from some horrible illness.

most quarians usually don't take unnecessary risks without a good reason

...I thought quarians were vegetarian. Is steak really the best thing to start with?

Wouldn't the poor steak have to be cooked to death? Like, they're only good rare. Maybe try something slow cooked?

I see this as a challenge. I'm reasonably sure I can cook you a steak that meets your qualifications, but it certainly won't be cheap, given I'll -

1. Need to cook it so thoroughly that any microbes or bacteria naturally in the meat are killed and there is NO POSSIBLE WAY you can become sick or otherwise suffer an allergic reaction to the meal.

2. I'll need to cook it in a clean room and/or transport it with a vacuum box.

3. On top of this, It's going to be a gourmet meal, so my average rate for steak is 49 credits, which is a steal, given the other gourmet chefs in the Citadel.

All in all, 90 credits, and it'll be the best steak you'll ever eat.

Are you interested?

How long has it been since you've had solid food Ms Pariah? If it's been too long your stomach could have trouble handling it, and even chewing could prove challenging. Maybe you should start easy, with lettuce for instance.

I don't know exactly much about quarian digestive systems but I would guess a lifelong nutripaste diet could make it necessary to take special precautions. So I'd think eating raw meant is no real option anyway but then, it's pariah.

Pariah, are you not afraid someone will take the opportunity and tries to get rid of you?

Vegetarian by necessity, not by choice. We did use to obtain large quantities while the fleet was active whenever we passed through a system that produced it. Now that we do have a homeworld back, we're incorporating more meat back into our diets though it still has to be turned into nutripaste (Not that I mind it).

And what would that be? By all means give me some suggestions because I am all ears at the moment. Provided you don't post images of drell cuisine (which I cannot eat and also looks disgusting anyway) or anything covered in the slop you people call condiments.

I will keep you in mind, maybe. You're stupid. But I don't think even you would try to intentionally kill me since it would ruin your already terrible life.

Though judging by your romantic interests terrible life choices are probably a thing with you.

Then I would like to apologize to all the terrorist (and generally filthy looking) Sundowners out there. Because apparently, knowing how to cook up a variety of bombs and other means of destroying property apparently translates into knowing how to cook something eatable.

...

Oh for Ancestor's sake you morons I'm not eating the thing rare I'm not an idiot and I am taking every precaution that is necessary. The only thing I really worry about (other than the thing tasting like a cooked boot) is that some thin-skinned bubble will use it as an excuse to kill me. But if they do then it will completely ruin them in all manner of reputation (and a long stint in prison to boot) only to satisfy those same thin-skinned bubbles that post on extranet forums.

...Yeah, I'm not suggesting any Levo dishes, asshole. But what do quarians know about food anyway?

Suggestion: You could get a cheaper piece of meat and cook it sous-vide which is like, seal it in a vacuum bag (convenient for you) and then cook in hot water for a few hours?

My husband did a variant on the cooler one the one time I got a piece of real meat off someone from work.

Wish I could have real fish again, can't afford it.

I know that some food (especially fish) smells terrible enough when someone is cooking it that I have to shut-off my olfactory filters.

But those images actually look... good I guess? So I will probably keep this one in mind.

You're a quarian, you really shouldn't tempt people to spit in your food.

And I have only the one husband, smartass.

You will pay me ninety credits, because that's the price of the steak.

No one is going to spit in no one's food unless they want to be ruined in every single way imaginable.

Is he of more importance than the boyfriend? Or do they switch from boyfriend to husband every other month?
