So you heard it here. My first leave of absence (aka vacation) from my new station. So what are some good candidates for vacation spots? Any suggestions? Also if it's in the Terminus I am very not interested.

Come to the Citadel. It's got the widest variety of alcohol and attractive people.

Also it's like right next to Earth so you can go there too.

London has a lot of tourists now that the citadel is right there with easy transport. It's pretty much turned in to the Earth-Citadel transport hub, and anyone on the citadel can easily take a vacation there now. Though from what I hear, the American tropical islands were pretty much untouched in the war, so they are pretty much the main tourist area.

Why would I want to come back to the UK? It's cold and wet and damp. If I want that I can just step into my bathroom and turn the shower on. Anyway. As much as I like attractive people they don't like me. The booze would be good though.

Gruul's nice this time of year, the wildlife is certainly interesting. It's an 80 lightyear trip from the Nemean Relay though, which might be a bit of a dealbreaker, but it really is a nice planet.

...I think I might need to go to Nevos.

Beaches and scantily clad Asari everywhere? I can live with that.

Otherwise, Idunno, Eden Prime? Nice and warm, relatively natural feeling.

The Horsehead Nebula is a shitpile all times of the year.

I guess CDEM-PIET is still taking its time setting up? Back in the DMZ we just killed time on-station. Leave's got to be pretty tightly scheduled now, with the relay travel restrictions. Not like you can just hop on the shuttle any more. I'd have said Earth's worth a visit in the past, but it's been in better shape, and unless you're coming over to help clean up, I don't know if you'll enjoy yourself much.

I'd say just go home. Sometimes that's all you need.

Agreed on the Horsehead Nebula. Yeah things are going kinda slow getting recreational facilities up and running. Actually, I put in for leave a months before being assigned to CDEM-PIET. So that's about... five months ago or so now? Something like that. In any case I would go home but... home is Dublin, Ireland. Which last I heard was still in pretty rough shape. And no family to speak of either. I just feel the need to get away from it all for a week or two.

Don't underestimate Earth! Ive spent almost a year over here and it's a lovely place to be! The rebuilding has been progressing steadily so you'll see many places back in their former glory. The mediterranean's a must. And so's the Pacific! Scandinavia wasn't hit all that hard either but I havent gotten around visiting the place yet!

So yeah give sol some serious consideration. If not then I'd suggest some of the colonies maybe? Constantine still offers sea cruise packages around its coral barriers if I recall correctly. Eden Prime and Olympia in the Exodus cluster ain't in bad shape either!

But yeah, I'd advise you to avoid Palaven. Though I love my home I have to admit that the place looks utter shit for now. Most of it at least. And you'll get tangled up in construction sites all over the place so it wont be much of a vacation for you.

I'd recommend visiting the Citadel of course. Obviously, repairs to the station are still ongoing, but compared to what it was in the aftermath of the siege, its certainly much more pleasant on the eyes than last year.

Zakera in particular has a few establishment that are now operational, Cole's Place I would recommend if you're interested in a good breakfast, if you're more the pub crawl type, I feel I have no choice but to endorse the Blackfish. Their sandwiches are simply superb, better with a lager too.

As for Earth itself, obviously, Cardiff and much of the townships in South Wales is still recovering, but, the valleys have been a flocking ground for hikers and other tourists. Even the Reapers can't destroy nature after all.

Look closer Arb, those asari aren't wearing anything. I now know where to go for leave. Heh heh.

Go climb a mountain, child! CONQUER A SMALL NATION WITH NOTHING BUT GEESE! REBUILD SHABATOUM, THE FABLED CAPITAL OF THE ANCIENT DUEWE PEOPLE! Do something FANTASTIC! If you must drink, then drink. But drink with purpose, and accomplishment!

Well, I'd recommend something as many relay jumps away from Parnack as possible, but the Citadel's always a sound choice.

If you want exotic, the copper colored mountains of Erzbat are a sight for the age. They're opened for extra species tourism now I believe, and I'm sure Mekan will agree that they're worth the trip.
