The clinic had, until recently, been in disrepair. The doctor who'd originally ran it had gotten a position at Huerta Memorial, and during the Reaper occupation, it had suffered severe structural damage.
Now though, it had gone under severe renovation, becoming the ideal tuchankan medical facility in miniature. Push came to shove, it might serve as a small fortress, though its caretaker had no intention of making it anything of the sort. The daughter of Tuchanka, wearing a traditional, if sterillized and modified vestments, checked the time, before unlocking the front door with her OT. Now, for the first time ever, her little clinic was open to the public. An hour later, the doors made a pleasant chime, as her first patient arrived...

Keep in mind, if you're not present for at least a basic check up, you're going to have an annoyed krogan Dr.

Entering the clinic, Sarah Thompson approached a counter and set down a large box, with a card on the top signed by a few other local business owners, such her wife's and a local bar, the card itself being a greeting into the neighborhood. The box contained a large beverage heater. A polite wave, and she was out of the clinic, as to better not take up the doctor's time. |

And the first one (hopefully!) to walk in was...wait for it...
Juhani Ragum, intergalactic man of mystery, nursing his sore hand and looking pretty meek for a man who shamelessly loaded off innuendos at five rounds rapid pace. He walked into the lobby, looking around if anyone was in here. "Hello! Is the doctor in?" |

Sarah's rapid arrival and departure prompted the krogan healer to blink rapidly in surprise, before examining the box and its contents.
Aliens are weird. In her place, she'd have sent one to test he knowledge and skill she professed as a doctor. Gifts such as these, when she'd yet to illustrate her skill, were rather atypical, to say the least. Stilll, she'd been warned about strange customs. She picked up the box and set it aside, pausing only turn around to see another human enter her clinic. I certainly am. Please, sign in, and I'll be with you in just a moment." Savara promised, before tucking the box out of the way. A moment later, she arrived at the desk, and examined her first patient. Her dull red crest and yellow eyes seized him up, noting how he was favoring his hand. She did not yet recognize him as the flirty human from the extranet site. "What seems to be ailing you?" |

Juhani looked right back at the doctorly krogan, sizing her up in return. Yup, looked like Tuchankan murderlizard alright, just more benign.
"I injured my hand." no guesses about which one was in question. The right one was shiny black, tell-tale sign of synthetic replacement and that one wouldn't be able to send signals of pain like a real hand could, so left hand it was. "It's been sore after this kit I was lifting up fell on it, aching up whenever I try turn it around." he explained with a sorry look. It was a lie. Bruising on the knuckles and fingers would clue in a keen observer that it had more likely come from punching something hard. Like a roughly-textured wall. Other interesting remarks would be Juhani's blue facepaint...and the thing he had a fake arm. What kind of a client just had walked into her clinic? |

Had she known she was being privately labeled as a Tuchankan murderlizard, she would have possessed a feral grin. As it was, she absently scooted the human over to one of the cots. The tattoos and cybernetic limb barely warranted a glance, as she looked at the sign in sheet.
"Well, Mr. Ragum, lets see what we can do about that hand." Savara reached over, grabbing a visor with blue optics, leaning forward to study Juhani's hand. The krogan instinctually sniffed the human, her advanced olfactory senses detecting, along with the already potent fleshy scent of humanity, the presence of turian as well. She placed the visor on, briefly shielding her face from sight. The blue lenses lit up, as she briefly scanned Juhani's arm. "Hmph. Well, one or two questions. To begin with, what actually happened to your arm? Contusions on your knuckles don't match up with your story." She said, removing the visor long enough to reveal a disapproving pair of golden eyes.

Sorry for the wait hammers

What had her thoughts been if Juhani's collection of various scents had included the potent musk of Takkar? But he didn't have, so she didn't have anything more to comment on.
But what Savara could comment on was the look Juhani had, of being figuratively caught with pants down. "I...might have punched a wall after that accident happened. To let off steam. I mean I don't plan to make a habit out of boxing with brick walls and...damn it." He hung his head down in defeat. Rule number one when dealing with krogan: don't show your weakness and he just did. Juhani could only wait for the judgement of the doctor now, as he watched his chances fall through his fingers like fine grains of sand. |

Savara studied the human for a moment, eye ridge raised, before shaking her head.
"Well, I've hear stupider stories of people injuring themselves, but not very many. Next time you get frustrated, use the hand made out of metal and polymer. Unless you're planning on getting a matching set." She turned away, grabbing an assortment of minor tools. "So, how'd you lose it in the first place? The war? Or do you really make a habit of self injury? She asked, as she quietly prepared a conical metal device, just large enough to fit around Juhani's wrist. |
Savara |
|
"Yup, war injury it is. Indoctrinee shot it off. Turns out wrestling a man wielding a Carnifex is unhealthy."
Juhani spied over, or more like around Savara to see what she was picking up. The cone looked rather silly...and reminded him of the cones of shame that pets would get so they wouldn't lick their stitches. Hm. She hadn't explicitly laughed him down yet. Perhaps there was still a chance... "By the way, has anyone ever told how beautiful eyes you have? They look like Aralakh...fierce and merciless, yet so nurturing and warm at the same time." Let it be said that Juhani wasn't only limited to lewd comments when it came to his cunning linguistics department. |

Savara paused as she prepared the device, before one of her sun colored eyes slowly turned to study the human with bemused interest.
Were his comments lewd? No. Were they laying it on a bit thick? Oh yes. "...Assuming you've ever actually seen Aralakh..." She once more proceeded with the motions of her work, and without any warning, clamped the conical device around Juhani's arm. The wounded area was now completely hidden from sight. "...Which I doubt, why are you comparing my eyes to a sphere of molten plasma? Are you saying people would go blind from looking at them?" Inwardly she was just fucking with the human. Outwardly, tuchankan murderlizard seemed more apt a moniker than ever, her eyes narrowed and scathing.

Yes, its me. Hammers, I'm really sorry I'm so slow posting
|
Savara |

Did it work? He had captured her attention, so yes, it probably had worked.
Or that she was just doing her job and slapping medical instruments on Juhani. This device...was beginning to give off bad vibes. Kind of "this thing will strip off your skin and re-arrange muscles and bones underneath and you will feel every single bit of it" vibes. Or it could be worse, do the same thing with anesthesia which was equally frightening, as odd it would feel (or not, ha ha). "Oh please, you don't need to take it so literally. But I wouldn't be surprised if people had gone blind from admiring your looks...besides balls of plasma are very, very energetic and hot as they get~" he smirked. |

...
Savara pointed her OT at the device, and without fanfare, pressed the button. The sound of several metal contraptions rearanging Juhani's arm back to its proper order, with a medigel swiftly applied to prevent him from being further damaged. No Painkillers though. That, to the krogan mindset, just ruined the whole process of healing. How are you going to learn not to do anything stupid if there isn't consequences for it? Fortunately for the amorous Fin, it only lasted three seconds. "There you go. How's that feel?" |
Savara |
|
Shit, it WAS a device just like he had imagined!
In the short span of three seconds that was the actual operation and the ones that followed as medi-gel began to work its anesthesia, Juhani's smirk had turned into gritting of teeth and twitch in the corner of his eye, the good synthetic hand gripping the edge of the bed with remarkable force. And Savara had to make fun of it, didn't she? Juhani shook his head around. "VERY refreshing!" Woops, that came out with bit of volume, now didn't it? "I mean, it sure woke me up! Still just relatively little sting, I've had lot worse." And here the slick and smooth operator Juhani was coming back up. |
hierarchy_dad |
|
Savara grinned in response, looking positively diabolical.
"Excellent. Then you'll be happy to know that I'll need you'll need to wear that for the next twelve hours. Every half hour, it'll repeat the healing process. No doubt you'll find that very refreshing." Juhani's hand would be fit as ever by completion. He'd just have to deal with krogan medical equivalent of tough love in the mean time. |
Savara |
|
Tough krogan love was a concept Juhani had acquainted himself with very closely...but this wasn't the kind he had expected really. Hence his cheers are very deflated.
"Woohoo. Sounds like I shouldn't bother with the bed with this thing on. I presume you want this back when it finishes molesting my hand?" he pointed at the device with his other hand. |
hierarchy_dad |
|
Savara smiled once more, looking a bit less dangerous for once, before reaching over and unclamping the device. Once removed, it revealed Juhani's hand, now covered with several medigel bandages, small, but already hard at work.
"Actually that was just a minor fib on my part. Like I'd let something this expensive leave my sight. Especially for such a minor injury" The golden eyed krogan smirked with satisfaction at her little prank. "Unless there are any notable pains, you should be set. Just don't put any major stress on that arm for the next six hours. Then, it'll be good as new. Better, if I have anything to say about it." One baleful yellow eye examined the arm, daring it to defy her word, before winking at Juhani. |
Savara |
|
By instinct he went on to flex his arm, hand and fingers once the medical cuff came off. Good as new if not better, like she had said.
"Usually the pranks krogan have played on me are bit more rough than this...guess I'll have to be thankful for your generosity this time." he smirked. Though less said of those pranks, the better, unless she insisted on hearing them. Juhani hopped back to his feet from the patient's bed, dusting off his clothes. "Well, guess that's that. How much I owe you for this little arrangement...doctor Savara?" sly smile spread onto his lips, although it might as well been in vain. She hadn't introduced herself after all (but this was her clinic, surely there were plaques and signs indicating who ran the place). Oh well. |
hierarchy_dad |
|
In actuality there were not any plaques with her name inscribed upon them visible, but her name was still posted on the door.
"Please, Savara will do just fine. Least I can do after messing with you is not bother with honorifics." She said, before typing up a reasonable figure. "Since you're not looking particularly destitute, this should cover everything up. Do you have any insurance provider that I can sign off on? I'm fairly certain Alliance veterans receive health benefits for their service." She gestured at his arm. Clearly, despite the facial markings and possible uniform, Savara was unaware to Juhani's true allegiances. |
Savara |
|
Mentioning Alliance was like a sour note being played to Juhani. His face frowned, just a little bit but it was back to being its sly and perhaps bit smug self again. "Actually, forward it to Hierarchy's Citadel garrison, they're handling my medical fees." This if anything should now clue in that it was hierarchy dad at her clinic, and sudden drop in amiability.
"If that's your opinion, who am I to object if you don't want any titles between us two?" |
hierarchy_dad |
|
Savara blinked an amber eye, before looking at Juhani with further comprehension.
"Ah. So thats who you are." She studied Juhani once more, with an increasingly dissaproving mien. "You know, when I said you could drop by for a visit, I don't recall encouraging you to injure yourself in the process." The krogan doctor growled, unamused, and a little suspicious. |
