Hey Sulla, I thought you just dropped off the map. Good to hear from you and... nice. The impression thing is likewise. I would very much like to see you too when there's a possibility. I don't know about that luckiest turian thing though, but you made me smile with that comment. I sincerely hope you keep the stories classy! No, don't say anything - I don't want my illusion getting spoiled. I could use a smiling face these days, believe me. The topic is still dominating everything on the official channels and it's only ebbing slowly. Did I ever tell you I have family connections on Sur'Kesh? All of them are safe, don't worry, but still. The Citadel is still same old. Times, where visiting openings of art galleries on official duty are a welcome distraction are not the greatest. So yeah, don't get drowned in mud or anything. Keep in touch, okay? Arina |

Tanx, welcome back! Heard you'd gone to Tuchanka, how's it been? Um, I don't want to pry, but, have you spoken with Ash? It's good to see you around again. Love, Daia |

Daia! Good to hear from you. Tuchanka was...interesting. Lots of shit going on. I hopped on some new security company in charge of protecting shrines. Go figure those riots break out and I spend the last few weeks in combat. Not too bad though otherwise. Good food, family, breeding requests at every turn. Hard time explaining being bonded. I was in contact with Ash for a while but I think my Omnitool took a hit and haven't had a chance to speak face to face. Been sending credits and letters through some crappy public terminal. She mad or something? We had a talk about that before I left. Tanx |

It's very important you get in touch with her as soon as possible. I'm very sorry to be the bearer of news like this, but it seems that the girls were abducted. I wish I could tell you more, all I know is that Ash is (as best I know) on Earth attempting to recover them from whoever took them. I'd love to catch up sometime, but obviously this takes priority. I'm praying for the safe return of everyone; once that hopefully comes to pass, if you find yourself stopping by Illium don't be a stranger, okay? Prayers and love, Daia |

Hello Xuumo, I just saw that you did an inauguration ceremony for Elcor artifacts you found, that's very impressive! Was that the trip you took with Alonso? Anyway, I just wanted to send my congratulations :) It's great, and these days we can use all the good news we hear. Was Alonso at the ceremony? I need to vent. I am not a good person. The galaxy has seen so much suffering because of me and I took a fucking pardon to avoid jailtime. Hi Sarah, Venting is okay, it's healthy in its place. I don't believe you're a coward, Sarah, or a bad person. You've done bad things; good people do, sometimes, I have as well. It's a big galaxy, and we can only see so much of it at once, so we all make mistakes. I know that sounds like a very everyday aphorism to toss at something like Cerberus, but I feel it's still very true. You had the misfortune to be in a situation where bad decisions had consequences that seem insurmountable now, but if you believe there's no absolution for past misdeeds - that good now doesn't erase bad then - the reverse must then also be true: a bad deed doesn't erase a good. Everything you've done for the Alliance, that's not devalued by what came before, and if it's your time with Cerberus that'd made you determined to contribute to the common good now, that doesn't make it any less admirable. I know none of that is probably any great help, but it needs saying nonetheless. Seeking forgiveness is difficult at the best of times, especially when there's no clear source to seek it from. Your Alliance courts made a ruling, and perhaps you're right to feel that it was motivated by pragmatic concerns - what you had to offer the Alliance in a time of need. No court can really 'forgive', though - punishment, serving one's time, is just an abstraction for society's benefit. If there is forgiveness to be earned, I don't think you'd have found it sitting in a cell somewhere. I do think there's something to what Titus was saying, that you drive yourself to take on these burdens, when perhaps moderation is called for, but even so you have this drive to help; a lot of people could stand a little less moderation in that area. You have freedom, and the ability to act, and maybe that seems unfair, but there's no 'fairness' inherent in the galaxy, or how events turn out. All we can do is the best we can with what we're given - there's no cowardice, or injustice, in accepting a fortunate turn of fate and making the best of it. Love, Daia |

Peaceable: Thank you, Ms. Rondor. It was indeed a consequence - unexpected but welcome - of the trip to Farish Vey. Cheerfully rhetorical: Who can tell where the roads of fortune lead? Perhaps this is what you humans call karma, a reward for my dedication these last two years. Few of us could say, I'm sure. Pointedly: I have not forgotten those who assisted me in making that journey, I assure you. Casually contrite: I apologise for the lack of communication in the days since our return. My people were intending to make an announcement in short order - amused: yes, even by your standards. General weariness: Then the news broke regarding Sur'Kesh. I'm sure you understand that the crisis both delayed the announcement and necessitated a change in its focus. Mild amusement: politics, you understand. Explanatory: So I was "off the radar" for a few days, and rather busy preparing myself. Enthusiasm: But it seems things might well be looking up for me. With regret: Alonso wasn't there. He helped me prepare, but he preferred to stay in our paddock. Regretfully: He's been rather at loose ends. He wasn't expecting such rapid change in my circumstances and I think the original elation at our discovery is wearing off. Speculative: The benefits are not those he may have envisioned. I think as well that he acquired the idea of the two of us as outcasts, and seeing me among other elcor leaves him feeling... the odd one out? I couldn't say. Reasonable: Perhaps we should arrange some further contact with his gang, as you've often suggested. I'm aware I've been edgy about too much contact in the past, but it may help. Respectfully: Thank you for your message. Earth preserve you. |

Greetings! This one apologises for disregarding the other's privacy; it believes the other will swiftly understand why it deigned to do so! This is Laykalar, from Leaving the Ducts. It was pleased to engage with the other at the recent Huntress recruitment event, and hopes the other remains in good health. Please forgive this one's imposition, but it has news of great significance. It is aware that the other dislikes being pressed for information regarding Turvess; it is pleased to reveal that it can now offer its own information instead! It is unsure if the other is yet aware, but it wishes to ensure that the news reaches the other swiftly: the Council has confirmed the survival of Turvess! This one is greatly buoyant to learn of this; the other is no longer alone! It wonders if the other would like to celebrate? "I was blind, and I cannot say I had eyes to see the truth. Hey Nat, Not messaging you for any particular reason. Mostly just wondering how you're going, how the daughter is, how your wife is, how your niece is. You know, boring stuff. How's Terra Nova or whatever piss-poor colony you're on? Too small for you I'd bet. Not enough action and whatnot. Military still treating you well? I heard you're First Sergeant or something like that. Congratulations on that. I finally believe I'm sufficiently drunk to say this: ... Look, I don't want to reopen old wounds for you or anything... But hells, my wounds won't close until I do this. This has been killing me for the last two years... I hope you can indulge my selfishness. Here goes. ... The real reason why I messaged you is, well... I'd rather talk to you in person, but I know you're on a colony or whatever... Are you headed out to the Citadel anytime soon? Or failing tha, do you have any free time and bandwidth to make a vidcall? -Titus Ain't nothin' can stop the Titus-Train! |

Private Message to WavesHaveBrokenI have learned this, but there is little to celebrate. The homeworld's decision to dispose of all advanced technology in order to fool the Reapers leaving them alone has no doubt come with a heavy cost to my homeland. You likely are not aware of this, but when the asari found our telescope, there were tensions between my homeland and the empire from where Twisted Logic fled. The Bondlords were barely kept in check by my coalition of abolitionist states who were at the pinnacle of technology, propelled by the need to stay ahead of the slavers and most of all, stay free. Then the global downshift happened. Abolitionists were most likely stripped of their best defenses against the Bondlords, who on the other claw retained advantage of the masses. The asari in orbit haven't reported much of the state of matters on Turvess but I am willing to bet my wings on that the Bondlords took advantage of this and put the abolitionists to the chains. Were I to return, I'd be killed or enslaved for my past work against the slavers. |

Hey, Juhani. I think I've gotten better since we last spoke. This situation with Chris is still weighing heavily on my heart. She's in prison and the last we spoke did not go well. We've been at each other's throats, and insults have been heavy. She wants me to forgive her but I can't. I can't forgive her for what she did and she's furious I turned to the law about her. I also won't let her see the baby. If she wants to see him, she can see him when she gets out. Sarah Second Lieutenant Sarah Thompson, Systems Alliance. Join the reconstruction! Sorry, jeez. So you're being sent to a gulag? Sucks. Anyhoo, you've been pleasant enough to me in the past, I figure I could offer advice. Could get a tattoo warning of - Wait, no, that wouldn't work, humans can't get turian diseases. Beat up the strongest and toughest looking Turian there and don't let anyone surround you in the shower. You can also take one of your issued toothbrushes and stick a shaving razor in the handle for a impromptu weapon, but again, turians don't necissarily have hair so I don't suppose you'll be issued with shaving razors, and Turians might not be hurt by a toothbrush knife. Also, Turians will beat you ten steps from death if they catch you with contraband, so you've got to hide it really good. Really good. An old friend told me all of this. It may help you out, I've never had to practice it in person. Second Lieutenant Sarah Thompson, Systems Alliance. Join the reconstruction! The Alliance and her allies need your help!
