Hi, my name is Trent Lester. I'm human: born in space en-route to Elysium. Brought up there, entered the financial field in various forms. Spent a long time as an accountant; worked on the Citadel for a brief stint. After the war, I'm done with all that though.

Been working to create a new privately funded space exploration program to reignite what I'd call the Golden Age of space exploration, before the war came. Not lacking for funds, but I am lacking in manpower and expertise in... well... space exploration. Currently looking to land a job as a pilot in any field. 1. I am not an experienced pilot. I have only done a few basic courses about 10 years ago, and am looking for a position to increase my skill set.

Welcome, Trent. :) I can't offer any particular leads (Envirometrics is too small to employ its own pilots, what little off-world shipping we do is carried by contractors), but I do know there's work for pilots on the shipping lanes centred on Illium - provided you're careful who you sign with, and (of course), what you sign. I hope you achieve your ultimate ambition at any rate, and wish you the best of fortune. I've always been fascinated by voyages of exploration (although I'm not the type to wind up on one myself, the closest I've come was a six-week stint on a turian astrographic survey ship, about thirty standard years back). Have you been following the news about the Star of Athame? Pretty amazing.

Yes, the news concerning the Star of Athame was a real kicker for me. I'd been mulling around the idea of creating a private exploration company for some time before, but the Athame incident really made me think "It's still possible."

I'm a pilot by trade, not that anyone seems to be hiring flying elcor these days - so I work security outside Goronak & Goronak's Essentials over in Yurt arcology. Pay's crap and there's not much to do except stare at people most of the time, but a lady needs to eat. Still, discounted booze and two free jars of hkl'ghepqut a day are nothing to sniff at.

Since I can't think of a random topic to blither on about before retreating to the comfort of pornography and booze, I'll tell a story. Want a story? No? Too bad, you have to wade through this eighty-kilo load of адстой.

One time, not long after my discharge from the Alliance Military for failure of a mental health evaluation, I was drowning my sorrows in some corporate hole that had a cheap fee to go planetside. The bar smelled like disinfectant and the people were more stiff than a military-grade codpiece. But I didn't care, because the drinks did their work and I was, as you may gather from the circumstances of my discharge, not entirely in my right mind. Drunk as I was, struggling to fire off what neurons I hadn't sloshed away in a wave of cheap drinks, I noticed a girl out the corner of my eye.

Now, it was more likely than not the drink talking, but she was a looker. A looker like... like I don't even remember. I blame that on the alcohol, too. Somehow, we got to talking, and through a longer string of somehows, she followed me back to the slum I was spending my days in. I figured, hey, perhaps some "quality time" was in order. I didn't expect the actual outcome.

Turns out, like nearly everyone else in that bar, the girl was a corporate блядь. She worked for a medical company, and one area of expertise is organ transplanting. I'd talked my way into selling my left testicle. I immediately used the stipend I was given to get myself some gear and escape that rock.

And the rest is a steadily less intelligent history.
