I'm glad to hear things are looking up. As for Albie, there's not much you can do. Young babies will wake you up-crying is their only way to communicate with you. I imagine it's even harder to cope with as a single parent-is there anyone who can take him for a night for you to recuperate? He'll start sleeping through the night eventually.

I know the problem with bored students a little.
I think it's a little bit of that classic gap of how majority romantically imagines a profession and how the profession actually works.
(You'd be surprised about the bizarre questions about black holes I get asked by newbies... I don't even actually understand why this seems to be the only topic people come up with when thinking about stellar physics...)
One of my fellow students studied acheology for some time before she decided for SP. She once gave me a little insight into it, which - I have to admit - made me a little curious. But I think I have a less "romantic" view about your work, so don't worry about me expecting fairytale-adventures or something like that.

Is there no way to maybe support them? I mean, they're people after all, no matter how few.

I experienced people who show no interest in their own home/roots as well.
Even though it by now is possible for my own people to return to Rannoch lots of them refuse to - For various reasons. (I really can not understand that someone might not even be curious about it... I mean. I am. The first thing I plan to do after finishing my work on the Citadel will be visiting Rannoch. Maybe even to stay there...)
...Anyway, what I actually tried to say was: It's easy to forget the past when living in an entirely different present (as well as society) without major dissatisfaction. I think there won't be a change on this for a very long time. At least not to most of the Drell I assume.
Regarding this I think what you do is most important.
Since you gather all the information, tradition, etc. and keep it alive.
Over the extranet you have all you need to show this to everyone else, and I'm sure over the time there will be more people showing interest, and very likely even more Drell curious for their own past.

Well, if you like to give me a taste of your work outside the extranet I'm perfectly fine with this too. (At least as long as you're not scared by me in real life - I happen to be a little socially awkward outside the extranet.)
