Kari's lips curled into a smile as she listened to Leeta's response. Her little plan was working. "Good. Risk is good, dear. Risk can---" there was a brief flash of a scared quarian huddled over another sobbing.

Kari quickly got rid of that mental image.

"Risks can free you from your bonds. So no need to worry, Leeta. You don't have to hide like a scared little girl. You don't need to be afraid of what those idiots think. It was a huge risk for me to leave the Flotilla, and I will not deny that it was easy to survive on my own. But it was liberating. I had my own path, I found my own home, my own... family. And it was worth leaving those cowardly abusers behind."

She continued staring at Leeta, her smile widening to such a degree that her eyes had crinkled noticeably. "Take what you want. Whenever you want. If you want to be a dancer. To be someone shout it out as loud as you can. Tell this whole rotten galaxy who you are and what you want to be. Because if you don't take that risk, and I leave. You will just be another miserable quarian drone who lives for others and herself."

She began to stand up. "Well?"
