Reapers XX: The Heist

Current Game Status: Game Over

Everything was going along just fine in the branch office of the First Bank of Irune when things went tits up. Four masked individuals, a vorcha, a drell, a human and a salarian entered the bank, shot the guards. They are keeping the customers and staff under gun-point as their safe cracker began to drill into safe to get the eezo.

The alarm was triggered however and now the robbers, and the civilians are all stuck in same building.

What's happening now! (Read This, There Is Important Gameplay Information)

1. At this moment the C-Sec is negotiating with the robber's fixer, in 12 hours from now the robbers will be able to leave the bank unarmed and rich beyond their wildest dreams!
2. Each robber can shoot one person an hour meaning the four of them can shoot four other players each hour. If they do this they 3 hours will be added to the time to leave. If they shoot everyone THEY WILL LOSE.
3. Any person who dies that wasn't killed by the robbers, of example by lynching results in reducing the robbers need to wait before they can leave by 3 hours, because C-Sec doesn't want anyone to be hurt. More importantly if you lynch a robber they all get free shots (except for the lynched).
4. The robbers can give simple orders to non-robbers, meaning ins short if they say you should write in haiku form you are expected to write in haiku. They can't order you to shut-up. If two of them give contradicting orders then the last (newest) order is the one that must be followed.
5. The elcor player must stay in character as described in your PM during play.
6. Don't try to kill the elcor, he's immortal. An attack might at most slow him down a bit.
7. The elcor player is free to ignore orders from the robbers if the whim strikes him, the elcor plays by his own rules, he's a maverick!
8. Remember your objectives, remember the private chats some of you have access too, remember that I am a sneaky guy and there's probably some sneaky stuff happening in the background... or maybe not.
9. Stealth actions must be sent via PM to me, non-stealth actions can be sent to me via PM or put on the board.
10. Lynch votes are only reset after a lynch, otherwise they will go on from hour to hour.

6. There is a simple majority lynch; meaning 50% 1 vote will result in a lynch. Lynching does not advanced the day or hour. There is a delay of two hours between lynching's.

Lynching anyone might be bad. Non-robbers reduce time for escape. Robbers cause quick-shots. Three robbers left. At least two hidden killers. Robber death for one. Possibly vigilante? Serial strangler for other, maybe.

Game theory:

Hour based format is interesting. But is also confusing. No Night phase. Means scum can act anytime. Can I have more words? Please?

Careful WHAT! YOU! ask FOR! M-pax.

SINCE! Robbers and us 'WIN!' when WE! get out and LOSE! If WE! all die, we MIGHT! consider them on the same TEAM! as US! at least for the moment. At LEAST! they can't kill FOUR! of US! at a time NOW!. So that threat is somewhat MITIGATED!. Not but much, but it IS!

.... hierarchy_Dad is too eager to be let out. While there's a benefit to the robbers if he's let out, it's entirely possible that he might have a win condition of getting the robbers to agree to let him leave early.

We need to find our killers... And you may let one of them go if you let Juhani out.

I said winning. Odds are, hierarchy_dad isn't one of the killers. But his succeeding at this objective could easily cause the rest of us to lose at our objectives. You, the robbers, and us the civilians. If he's a third party whose objective is to say... get out and blow up the bank?

I don't trust anyone who threatens suicide to get out of this. He's not making a point. He's trying to get you three to let him out.

I don't think we'll make it by playing the clock m-pax, we might want to keep hierarchy_dad around if he's not a murderer.

Game theory time. Ignoring RP bits.

This is a game of hours. The Robbers win when the time is up, and can add more time for that time if they shoot someone. The five hour reduction in time to get out seems like a great deal from their perspective. They win in three hours if that happens. Thing is, that sort of deal is almost too good to be true that it must be a trick.

Voting for yourself in a game like this serves absolutely no purpose. Some might argue that in regular Reapers it serves no purpose, I disagree, but in this particular case, the only purpose it would serve is that hierarchy_dad wants something, and by being let out in such a manner, he'd get it. And as smart players, when someone pulls a move like that in a game where we don't know alignments, denying him that is worth the loss of the benefit of being wrong.

But that's just my opinion. (Vote in next post)

Why? Because of the same reason. He leaves in three hours regardless. This might mean he wins and we all lose. The lynch might not even do anything as he's immune to kills, but it might be the only way of stopping him.

The mouse asari (Jeral the Improbable) pissed off royally on the robbers for causing her extra work begins to glow and with a powerful mix of throw and warp powers she rips DeathToDreadnaughts in two!

Of course this happens just as hierarchy_dad is about to leave, the sudden outburst of violence is enough that nobody notices how the hanar is stringed up with his own tentacles!

C-Sec is very unsure how to deal with the situation and just lets an hour pass. The death of the robber apparently compensates by the death of a hanar.

The human in the corner paled as the drell criminal was ripped apart into chunks in the biotic corona and the hanar was strangled as he tried to leave. There was a faint sob before he began to speak.
