Major salarian clan gets new batch
Kolos Township, SUR'KESH - A cadet branch of the prominent Linron family on Sur'Kesh gained 16 new members last Wednesday, as the eggs hatched without incident. The scandal-ridden dalatrass of the Linron clan was present at the hatching with the parents of the new clutch, but she refused to give comments to reporters present. This and many other recent events are sure signs of recovery in the galaxy, two years after the conclusion of the Reaper wars. Presslink News Aggregator: Collecting headlines from across the galaxy. So we don't know who it is who has it in for Linron; they're like the salarian equivalent of a faceless assassin. You know, make the shot and fade back into the shadows. Only this isn't something designed to do new damage, it's supposed to keep the wound from healing instead. Something that will keep it open, keep the controversy going. And I know I'm, er, not the best to talk about that, but really it's not right, not with all the problems the galaxy has at the moment.
I'm betting this is from one of the rival families; I mean, it's probably not actually about the hatchings at all, it's to rub it in that Linron's in trouble, you know? "Something, something, Scandal-ridden Linron, something, something, refused comments". You see? This is how salarians play at inter-clan warfare. This isn't pointless news at all; there's a very real point to it and it's that someone back in the Basin is trying to force Linron out and keep her on the defensive, only it's being disguised as neutrality. And I think this is just so typical. Is anyone surprised? I mean, the people back home could just stop with all this interfering in our lives and each other's lives and get focused on helping the rest of us rebuild, but they won't. Dude, you're overthinking it. I guess this could be a tactic by a rival clan but, honestly, i really think this is just good news for once. If anything, this is a point in favor of Linron. And to explain for the non-slaraians: Our population is one of the few that didn't take a huge blow during the war and, with the loss of so many colonies, people have been a bit hesitant to get back to contracting, There are all sorts of real concerns when considering these kind of things like fears about the economy, the stability of the galaxy, ect. So... Well, contracts, and laying eggs in general, have been on the down turn for a while. To have a major clan get back to breeding, and especially when you have a major player like Linron show up, is like giving the stamp of approval on this kind of thing. All in all, that's a MAJOR step forward towards recovery, and hopefully can serve to reignite the econmy a bit by assuring everyone that life is really and truly being to return to some semblance of normal. Oh, and this: Linron clan was present at the hatching with the parents of the new clutch, but she refused to give comments to reporters present .So not just a hatching, but a female hatching. Weird that they didn't mention the father's clan, but I guess they might want to avoid controversy in contracting with Linron. So, yeah, this is pretty big news, even if it isn't "SUPER AWESOME BAD-A MERC TAKES DOWN LAST REMAINING MARAUDER WITH A PENCHANT FOR KINECT BARRIERS." |

Or the father's clan wasn't mentioned because it's irrelevant to the interests of whoever put this out there. Because the real point is to keep Linron on the defensive and paint her as a figure of controversy whose continued hold on power we should be worried about. I mean, okay, you're not the first person to say I overthink these things. So maybe it is just good news. But unattributed? No mention of context beyond "Linron's clan has more daughters"? Phraag is not pronounced "frog". It's not funny. I'm serious. |
