Nothing has ever scared me as much as crossing that part of Earth with my infant daughter. Not even Reapers.

...That might have been because I never actually faced down a Reaper (if I had, I doubt I'd be here today) but...same sort of idea. I was so scared I wouldn't be enough to keep her safe.

As someone who has a home on Earth, and employees with young children, I'll just say that situation is not nearly as bad as it would sound. Most regions have nothing close to this.

And some of you lot need to grow a backbone. No reason for you to live in fear like some of you are acting.

Oh, this is horrible... Could this be possibly connected to any of the new criminal organizations that have been established in the as of yet unorganized areas of Earth? They were mentioned in a previous report. Maybe one of them is responsible for this. But then again, the areas mentioned are pretty far away from any unorganized area where criminals might lurk... Hm.
Out of the children that have been found so far, have any of them given any clue to the authorities as to what was the cause of their disappearance?

From how I take it, the ones found were just runaways with no connection to a grander scheme? So whatever they might know has nothing to do with where the bulk of children might be going.

As much as I hate to say it, that's probably a best case scenario for most kids who go missing. Even though most people who do that tend to be the type adoption agencies turn down for various reasons, the kids are still generally alive and - physically, at least, for the most part - unharmed. Depending on the age, the mental scarring might not be as bad, either.

My condolences to the families though. I can't imagine what it must be like to make it through the War with your family intact only to lose something so precious to a psychopath that you probably said hi to every morning.

This was the last thing on some poor biologist's camera and the other was their camp. Was actually present for this one. Two people just *poof.* There were some signs of struggle and dragging, which we followed for awhile. We hit the barrier of what we recognized as the "safe" zone and turned back with no sign of them except some torn clothing and blood.

The whole way back I swear to god there was something following us, tossing sticks and howlin' away.

Now folks, all of you lot know I've seen shit in T-Space and I spent most of the war in the Amazon forest with only one good leg. I know what it's like to be sacred.
