Titus sat in his seat, hoping that Gestran listened to Vohkaidan. He didn't necessarily dislike the music, but he was already irritable from the cold, and the incessant loud noise wasn't helping.

"I'm so cold..." He muttered to himself.

Titus-Train
Gestran turned off the music. The road was getting rougher and he didn't want to loose too much focus.

"all right ladies. Enough entertainment."

A supersonic boom sweeps the valley as a burning object appears in the sky. It flashes blue several times, changing its speed and trajectory as it does so. Eventually it goes down behind a small hill to the convoys left, just visible on the eastern horizon

TERF Command
Vohkaidin blinked, the sound so deafening, he doubted that if Gestran had the music on full blast, he would have missed it.

"Shit! Follow wherever that thing landed!"

He barked over the coms, quickly switching to Camp Cobalt's frequency.

"Cobalt, this is Patrol One. An unidentified, presumably a ship, has just entered our airspace. I want a condition one alert set throughout the region, and a direct line with TERF command ASAP"

He ordered, his eyes fixed on the hill where this interloper had landed behind.

Vohkaidin
"Joy." The quarian mumbled after he made sure his comm was off. He wasn't terribly impressed by the human in question, and had been about ready to try his luck hacking the sound system to shut it off. He didn't mind the music, but he was attempting to lead a convoy across icy terrain.

"The view's nice, I guess." He conceded, turning his comm to the private channel between him and his gunner. "But it loses a bit of an impact after two wee-"

BOOOOOM

"What the hell?" Lupin's head swiveled as he ducked, trying to follow the flashing shape that then hit the horizon. "Err...On it!" Lupin turned the vehicle towards the shape on the horizon and hit the gas hard.

Lupine Volt
Helena flinched as she looked up from the data (nothing particularly worrying to note, but that would likely change as winter went on) as her husbands voice echoed through the command center.

Oh no.

She thought, her stomach clenching with worry. After a moment, she made her way to the security console, checking the location of the where the patrol was, before signaling Jimmy to activate the condition one alarm. She then activated secure communication line, inputting her password, and opening up a direct line with the Picasso.

"TERF command, this is Camp Cobalt. Our men on the ground are requesting a direct line of communication, as they have sighted an unidentifed ship in our airspace. Please respond, over."

Well, that didn't take long. Everett nearly jumped when he heard the sonic boom. He immediately turned to see the burning object entering the atmosphere.

"The fuck?" He uttered as he stared. Once it emitted several blue flashes and changed its course to make a safe landing behind the hill to the left, it became clear that it was no meteor. The human immediately straightened his posture and grabbed the machine gun, rotating it in the unknown's direction.

"Contact! Patrol One-Actual, we have a bogey setting down behind the hill at 200 degrees," Everett barked into the comms. "Break's over, people! We need eyes on that contact!"

"acknowledged cobalt" "Crash not detected on sensors and no scheduled flights in that area." We're checking with thessian airspace control, untill we get word from them." "Proceed to crash site and secure it." "Temporary Change in ROE allows non Asari to be treated as potential hostiles. Orders are to captue not eliminate and maintain low profile, so no air support or use of crisis equipment."

"Gallick Tonn huh? Well it's a pleasure to make your acquain-" BOOOM

Neil jumped in his seat when he heard the sonic boom, but maintained his composure. He sighed in his private comm link and shook his head.

"You know. It would be great if one day I can have a conversation with someone without being interrupted by sonic booms or giant explosions."

He was overhearing the chatter over the other comm links and patched himself back with Gallick.

"You ready for this Gallick? Looks like things may get a little crazy in few moments."

Neil DeVore
Gallik was listening to Neil when he heard, saw, and felt the object rushing through the sky, and he quickly activated a trajectory tracing program on his OT, projecting the crash data along with topographical information to the other members of his patrol. Running blindly towards it, was to his mind, foolish. More variables had to be taken into account, and he was on it fast. He mumbled into the comm with typical salarian celerity.

"Nice to meet you as well, Neil." A tap to change frequencies. Squad. Need approach vector. Two routes into projected crash site. Could split up, or choose one. Personally suggest former, as multiple vantage points offer less chance of missing details. Thoughts?"

He frowned slightly at the notion of capturing someone that was potentially out to kill him. Threats should be neutralized as quickly as possible. Before they knew they wanted to threaten you, preferably. He wished he still had the Neural Shock mod installed in his Overload app.

Vohkaidin listened to TERF's orders, along with the chatter from the squad. He made a decision.

"Okay, everyone spread out. Gestran and I will head straight for it, Lupin, Neil, I want you to flank it on opposing sides. I want eyes on all sides of this thing, and make sure both the your personal KB's and the vehicle's are working optimally. We don't what we're dealing with yet."

He ordered. After another moments consideration, he called Camp Cobalt again.

"Camp Cobalt, this is patrol one. I want preparation for possible wounded, condition unknown."

The order was given due to the severe likelihood of injury. Either due to the injured shipmates of the fallen ship...or the soon to be injured if this turned out to be a trap.

Vohk made sure the pistol was ready for use, and the nonlethal stun weapon on his OT was ready for usage.

Vohkaidin
gestran swore as they split up. Even If the road had been bad it was nothing compared to this. Even if the trucks were sturdythey weren't optimal for off road driving.

"hey boss, you want me to stay behind the hill for cover as long as possible? Or get a direct visual on the ship as soon as possible?"
Link Link Quote

Gestran
Vohk cursed as the truck bounced erratically on the path, causing an uncomfortable journey to increase in unpleasantness considerably.

"...I want eyes on it. After a crash like that, I think we can safely cross this off as intentional distraction. Besides, orders are to contain and secure the area as quickly as possible."

Vohk ordered, deciding that swiftly investigating this unknown interloper was the best possible option.

Vohkaidin
"Taking the left side. Kinetic barriers for suit are at maximum. Kinetic barriers of the vehicle are at 98 percent." Lupin reported as he drove, moving to circle left around the site.

He brought up his omni tool, and began running a scan for any radio transmissions in the area; perhaps whoever crashed would be sending messages that would make it easier to know who they were. His omni tool flipped through the frequencies, attempting to find any one that had active chatter on it. While it did so, he double checked his hotkey combat apps; Sabotage and Overload. Non lethal versions.

Lupine Volt
"Understood sir. Flanking around the right side. Kinetic barriers for myself and the truck are working just fine."

He tapped into the Gallick's frequency.

"What about you Gallick? You holding up alright over there?"

Link Link Quote

Neil DeVore
"Understood."he ran diagnostics on his gear, optimizing them and returning to watching their path, holding on against the jolting ride. "Doing alright. Truck holding up?"
Link Link Quote

Wenrum
"Good to hear. And yeah the truck is doing fine. Unless we are going to go up against apocalyptic machine zombies from dark space, then we should be alright for the most part. What the hell was that thing? Did you take a good look at it?"

He spoke while bringing the truck around to the right flank.

Neil DeVore
"Negative. Only saw a craft burning in entry, before mass effect fields altered trajectory. Could be crash, could be landing. Either way, was not pleasant for crew on board."He maxed out his kinetic barriers, pulled an energy bar out of a pocket in the chest of his jacket, and ate it quickly, keeping eyes on their target, as well as the projected map of the potential crash zone he had on his Tool.

Wenrum
As he got in view of the ship, Gestran could clearly see that it was a definite crash with smoke rising from it. He slowed down slightly to get a better look, Squinting to make out more details.

"Contact! Unidentified runner heading northwards about half a klick from the crash site towards you lupine.
