Heh, that's actually quite funny - the one time I get one of these 'puzzle it out' ones (I'm better at the logic type) and I straight away convinced myself it wouldn't work. :)

I'm guessing the same kind of dodge works for the Varren-they haven't eaten until they start on him?

Does this world even have a moon?

I can't find this one, either, without it being more specific...

But I'd call that the best one anyway - even if they do have one, it's quick when it happens, and there could be time before it.

Alright, so there' that miner on a remote planet. Her drill has produced nine cubes of exactly the same size ... but something is off, one cube must be slightly heavier then the others, containing a trace of something else but she can't figure out which with her bare hands alone.

She has a balance scale but sadly, the battery is low so she can only do two more weightings. How can she find the heavier cube?

It is a balance scale. They do not need batteries. Therefore proceed as normal.
