Oh my, how embarrassing! I'm surprised you stayed after that, I might have bolted!... not that I'd be going on any dating sites anyways.
Since you're staying, make yourself comfy ^-^ Don't mind Pariah, not all of us are like that... really! She probly has a leak in her suit, getting sick can make you cranky sometimes (at least for me). She cant be like that all the time, I'm sure! |

Huh, I haven't been around long enough to know, but that appears to be the trend! Quite a reputation she has. |

(And don't worry, we've had people introduce themselves in far more embarrassing fashion, often deliberately too.) Instructor hm? The uniform looks good on you; my father did a lot of time as an instructor and felt it was the best service of his career, so I'm rather biased in their favour. :) Good fortune in your search, and stay positive - you never know where you'll find someone. (Even here - although I can't in good conscience say that's consistently a good idea; more personal bias resulting from beating the odds, I feel.)
Thanks. I feel the same way, being an instructor is both a great honor and reasonability, we essentially take over the responsibilities of both teachers and family, guiding a young adult in their first steps as an adult and completing their duty towards the cause and whole. I'm currently on the West Coast, near the big construction yard they call San Diego. It's like living near Cipritine at times. Construction 24/7 (Spirits it stills feels strange saying using Earth time.) Georgia, as far as I know is still considered the bad lands....No I ain't gonna bomb the place, you can't fraggin' pay me to go back to Earth. And you can be general. Like, what country/continent? Is Georgia still a hell zone? What they feedin' you down there? If you're the only turian I'm bettin' it ain't fresh. As for what they're feeding me; nutripaste over the week, and I got an MRE ration in the weekend. Mostly it's blue nutripaste but I got yellow and orange one yesterday, which was nice. I ordered some spices from the Citadel but its being held-up as they want to make sure it doesn't 'contaminate' other stuff, since it's not in a sealed-up in an one-use container. - Staff Sergeant Tergus Sintrian -- Drill Instructor for the 91st Palavian Legion |

Not at all. :) He got his start in Legion XA (this was well before I was born, and that was four centuries ago, so the old categorisation, obviously), New Cirilis regiment. He'd moved around a bit by the time he started instructing, most of his DI service was at Camp Arcix, teaching advanced mobile infantry tactics, unarmed combat, military history, and (unofficially) clawball. I'm hopeful of following in his path, in a limited way, one day - not a proper DI even if things do pan out the way I'm hoping (I'm no star soldier in the making), but after my basic I'd be aiming for service as a specialist instructor at a cabal training base. I'm not a strong biotic, but I've got a knack for wasting very little energy, I've been reliably told I'd be a good candidate for an SI spot, to pass that on to real soldiers. (And since they'll have already gone through basic themselves by the time I see 'em, they'll be disciplined enough to take me seriously, even after they inevitably do an extranet search and find all the fun stuff.)Of course there isn't a New Cirilis regiment at the moment, but since I won't be doing all this for a good century or so, by that time I'm hoping they'll have rebuilt. I always liked the idea of going through my basic training on the same grounds my dad did - even if the grounds are new now, the spirit will be there. ![]() |

I think there isn't any military that managed to make MREs an enjoyable experience.
During the war we had the questionable fortune of getting an airdrop from the bloody krauts with einmanpackungen eairly in the war. Only Private Beinholz did seem to like them. But she didn't bat an eye at the rat stew the resistance served either so I guess that didn't count. "Fools rush in where angels fear to tread." Thanks, First Sergeant, bed is surprisingly comfortable, food, let's not talk about food, people are friend but the other DIs shout way too much for my liking, but I told about that already. It's a learning experience. How're you liking the base you're on? I imagine the Alliance and Hierarchy do some things differently. Didn't realize there were still Hierarchy troops on Earth. Well I'm here as part of an officer exchange project, no doubt there's a human sergeant asking himself why all the kids know to use and clean a rifle, and why after a week they are already doing limited LFX / combat sims. I know there's a two engineer corps on planet, one in New Vancouver, and the other one in London, both building turian embassies, or consuls, don't know the difference, in those cities. Let me tell you this nutripaste is worse than MREs, MREs have some sliver of taste and texture to them, nutripaste is a paste really that's it. I know about that Council Exchange Program, great to see someone posting his experiences. Do you thing officer exchange between the species is a good thing in general? A absolutely do, I am taking care of some of the paperwork for a few of our sisters in the programs. Did you volunteer or where you commandeered? Oh, and as far as consulates go (all the formal embassies are on the Citadel these days but consulates planetside make things a lot easier for alien affairs paperwork and chambers of commerce contacts), we had a guard of a hierarchy consulate posting here briefly a little while ago. Maybe he's still around, lurking somewhere. ![]() |
