Aw, you know what you're talking about, right. The whole extranet is yours it seems. That said, if you ever find a *wink wink* in my posts, you can of course keep it. ;)![]() |

...Please woman. Kindly jump up your own ass and die. This one's mine and cadamite though I may be it's seriously not open to the public as a whole and so I'm afraid I'm going to have to bar your access.
Besides, according to my diet I'm supposed to stop putting trash inside my body and I'm afraid I've already cheated once this week. One must therefore be a fox to recognize traps, and a lion to frighten wolves. -Niccolo Machiavelli |

Yes, they are not really high value or luxury. That’s why I found the card game over them so amusing and a fitting image. You know, like playing over marbles just for the sake of having something symbolic to play over? Do you human people actually also do that or do you only play over really valuable things? Maybe a turian would want something more related to his military, so maybe heatsinks… I have no detailed knowledge about this, I was just spinning the mental image further for my personal amusement there.Nat wrote:You're kinda implying that the Hierarchy is in recession. In a galactic economy where each Council nation is heavily integrated into the other, there is either a recession or there isn't. The Hierarchy is a large part of the galactic economy, they haven't just somehow managed to withdraw.
That’s not what I wanted to express. In fact, the hierarchy as a state body is very potent, and the no-pay rule is one of the factors contributing to that. But I was more referring to the individual citizen, who of course steps back in favour of the hierarchy as a whole in that case (in any case really). Right now the individual hierarchy citizen has no individual economic power because he gets no pay and is living off savings and … well, let’s just say on some outside sources, where applicable to get along in the rest of C-Space where things like entertainment, cloths, food, drink, cab service… has to be paid in credits. I know, hierarchy gets a lot of public services free and other discounts but they can’t just walk into Schmidt’s and buy stuff as they used to. He loses customers, makes less, pays less taxes, and they can’t be a part of the everyday economy. Hierarchy turians who use to spend a good part of their income on these things, like on the Citadel or around spaceports wherever, now have to think very had about each credit they might have. Some may just turn to window gazing or standing at the sideline instead of going into a bar for example. This can have a negative psychological effect in the long run. All I am trying to say is, the hierarchy has to have a close look at that and better not drive this too far. I am pretty confident they do that but, well. This story about the heatsinks may or may not be something bigger, we dont’t know, it is a local observation that could as well just be a coincidence or some few individuals trying to shortchange Mr. Schmidt particularly. Also, I'd honestly be more concerned about the Alliance having an economic collapse than the H. If it weren't for the rest of Citadel space and the Alliance' Terminus trade, we'd probably be in deeper shit right now. But you know, if we went down we'd send the rest of CSpace into a spin and that's the smallest Council race economy. A true observation, Nat. That goes for any species in C-Space, that’s a price of a high standard of living, it can only be kept up together. In a way, hierarchy turians not being able to spend money in businesses that then pay less taxes or invest less in Alliance space is potentially already hurting. It at least I would think it is not helping. |
