Goddess I'm very confused about that, and very sorry if I offended anyone. I didn't so much forgot about the Asari as really thought taunting your adversary before disposing of them wasn't a part of Asari culture. Slaves4Us is here to help you! Come on, can't a hard-working man have a laugh at expense of criminals? He's risking his life and health there, I say he's earned right to say criminally bad puns.

Blasto was an Asari Film.Thank you Najhil, of course our friendly slaver forgot about us. This one thanks the others for their clarifications. As noted, this one has little direct experience with either "one-liners" or the entertainment franchise in question. "I was blind, and I cannot say I had eyes to see the truth. I was a fool, and I cannot say I had sense to know the truth. I was lost, and I cannot say I could have found the truth. In the darkness, truth found me." |

Ideally not (I imagine most huntresses would either object on the basis of it being indicative of a questionable disconnect from personal standards of morality, and/or a pretty dumb way to give the target a few extra seconds in which they might manage to do something creative vis-à-vis not getting killed), but it's Blasto we're talking about, I think the only part of asari culture it's a reflection of is adolescent escapist action. Not that I'm knocking it on that count - it's a fun genre, and appreciation of it has its place (plus, who ever said growing up all the way all the time was fun anyway?) - but I doubt you'd find any Matriarchs concerned about what it says about us as a people. Not sure where the credit/blame would rightly fall, anyway, to be honest - Illium Entertainment is asari-controlled, certainly, but there's a lot of subsidiaries pursuing a lot of projects, and generally nobody much seems to care who they're employing to do what so long as the credits keep rolling in. I vaguely recall there was at least one human writer attached to the original Blasto production, but whether he or she came up with the whole storyline single-handed, or just did a polishing re-write on a late draft, who knows. May even just have been involved in some peripheal fashion and wrangled a legal obligation to be credited out of IE somehow, you'd be amazed how studios work. ![]() |

My father taught me that snappy one liners should be delivered after the target's dead, not before, and perferably you check the area for other danger first.
A target half a mile away can't hear your one liner anyway and saying it over the radio is just stupid. VOTE: Upcoming Denakot Election for Mayor "Campaign speech? Compare Denakot to the rest of Tayseri. That is my campaign speech." |

Talking to dead people or ships just seems odd.

So Vindi, when you win the district mayor seat, are you going to boast 'it was left-handed' ?

One liners are not so much for the target, but for the audiance. "With the first link, the chain is forged. The first speech censored, the first thought forbidden, the first freedom denied, chains us all irrevocably." - Judge Aaron Satie |
