Cerberus Survivor No, I am not a former Cerberus operative |
You know, I keep hearing "ex-cerberus this" and "ex-cerberus that" like it's either something to fucking boast about, or its something that's supposed to get you sympathy.
Look, I've already done this song and dance a few times, so let me just skip a bunch of the bullshit, mkay? Yes, I was a victim of Cerberus Experimentation, no, I don't care that you "had nothing to do with it/no idea/feel bad," and I don't care that the Alliance granted you amnesty. At the same time, I'm not out for your blood. You don't seem too bad of a person, even if you do keep identifying with the worst possible organization, so hey, maybe we can get along. I suggest in the future you don't introduce yourself as ex-cerberus, because you will get the lynch mob types after you, not the angry ranting type. |

oh and hey songbird... I may have said i won't dig up dirt.
But the above poster has a point about being blatant. You might want to remove that picture of that awful man from your sidebar. It's like, making a statement, you know. |

Also a good way to fail job interviews I imagine. Also Cal, do I need to request leave to check on you? I totally can if you need to calm down. Or do you want me to send you something? Anyways...welcome to this mockery of Cerberus known as the Cosmic Dating Network, from a Hierachy citizen! There are two important secrets to life. First Secret: Never share everything you know. |

I'm fine. I got through a year without you, I can last until the next time you get leave, you don't need to request it early. But the thought is appreciated, and I do look forward to catching up.

I think you made this post assuming I've been looking for your approval. But you spent a literal paragraph telling me your life story (as I was a Bad Person in the past) and hamhandedly stuffing words in my mouth and I'm not sure how I'm supposed to respond to you. Thank you? Don't worry? Adequate response escapes me, and so does the four posts that it seemed to prompt. And to be frank, I seriously doubt that this fabled extranet lynch mob exists. |

My point was that the moment you say "ex-Cerberus" you open the door to people pissed off at you over what you did. There's ones like me, who will go off on a rant, and ones who will actively try to harm you. I'm not talking about the extranet. I'm talking about in real life. Check with your pheonix foundation about attacks on Ex-Cerberus individuals.

I think the likelihood of me introducing myself as ex-Cerberus is about as high as your chances of introducing yourself in real life as a victim of Cerberus. Actually, scratch that. I'm not sure how likely that is, and I'm not going to point out what's so funny about being chastised over this by someone who identifies as 'Cerberus Survivor' on the extranet. Thanks for your concern, I guess. But I'm well acquainted with the Phoenix Foundation and I already think I know 'hi, I used to work for Cerberus, let's chat' isn't a great icebreaker.

You need to move on; Cerberus is dead.
As damn-near everyone else in this thread has pointed out, introducing yourself as ex-Cerberus does you no favors. Remember Torfan |
Pariah |
Neither does waving around that person in your sideblurb.
|
Songbird |
And as I've pointed out to 'damn-near everyone', I'm well aware of that fact, thank you. I don't miss the politics of it, I don't miss the cyanide capsules and I really don't miss the codenames. I think I've moved on well enough. I'm hardly trying to form Cerberus 2: Electric Boogaloo.
Also, Pariah is not very bright. |
Taleeze Collector of Harborlights |
actually, I am with Pariah on this one. The not so bright light seems to be on the other end here. Maybe they left some indoc device up there that reduces blood flow ? Or would you care to enlighten us weaker minded species about it's meaning? You look like a fanboy with this poster you have there. Do you have his t-shirt too? I said, I'd judge by your actions in the present. You are doing a good job here. |

If you have moved on so well Songbird, why is your account littered with pictures of Cerberus?
Why were your first words here about your past with cerberus? For someone so moved on and mature about cerberus, you do seem to enjoy the merchandise? Why the hell am I agreeing with a Quarian and a Asari? Current Location: Illium. At least it's warm |

Well, if it offers any relief, I did some work for a cell on Korlus. I personally had no connections to the main structure, but I did some short-term contracts working on hardsuit software. I'm not gonna lie, there is a certain sense of pride in getting messages from ex-operatives thanking me for the work I did on their gear. Some of them wouldn't have made it past the war without it. That said, there was plenty of disappointment as to how sour things got. I'm still a die-hard ideologically, but I'm not an apologetic for what was done.
Putting that rant beside, glad to have you here. I wouldn't be ashamed of your service either, it's not like everyone here is a saint. Hopefully you find better prospects in the future, and if you ever need technical assistance, feel free to hit me up. I charge nothing to ex-Alliance and Cerberus on Omega, so don't feel like a stranger to Gozu. |

Enlarge it and notice the DDS watermark. Then laugh. Considering all the Cerberus operatives that were still working for Cerberus when my parents died from their experiments were turned into vegetables at the end of the war (Netting the greatest revenge someone can ask for in the process), I have no problem running into ex Cerberus assets nowadays. With counseling and moral support, while I still grieve for them, I've moved on from the tragedy. Private First Class, 2nd Battalion, 25th Marines, Seawolf Platoon |

I wasn't aware 'littered' counted as one image. It's pretty impressive how cleanly the joke's sailed over your heads, but I guess it happens. If it's not blatant enough for you, maybe I can replace it with an image of Skeleton With Magic Sword. Why were your first words here about your past with cerberus? For someone so moved on and mature about cerberus, you do seem to enjoy the merchandise? Why the hell am I agreeing with a Quarian and a Asari? As for why you're agreeing with the quarian and the asari, it's probably because you, like those two, are not very bright. |
