While this one was working for Fornax, there was a turian/asari clawball cheerleaders story. This one does not need to go into specifics, but there was a point where the turians were in a pyramid, one of the ones on the bottom had a small spasm and it all came down. This one thought it was a safe distance away, but it was wrong. When it came to, its skin had been bruised and nearly pierced in several places (hanar skin is quite delicate). It will also say it was a mixed-sex cheerleading squad, so there were more parts sticking out than if this was not a pornography shoot.

There's really no delicate way to say "my mandibles were removed with a band saw for purposes of interrogation." Not me, either...by the end of it my mouth was too full of blood and bone to speak coherently...my mother.

Proper treatment? They let me go once my mama said what they wanted her to say. A stranger found me and took me to a healer, then found a way to get me home. I got stitches and medigel so I'd heal up without getting an infection. I was lucky - my village didn't have medigel, and a lot of people died from injuries that infected. So I got better health care where I was than was possible at home.

While it was nice not to die a lingering death from infection, when I did heal up, I still had a major facial feature completely missing. I couldn't chew without spewing crumbs all over myself, so I had to wear a bib when I ate, and I couldn't swim easily, because I had no way to make my mouth watertight. I was a child, so I suspect my overall appearance was somewhere between pathetic and horrifying.

In the past two years I've had metal prosthetics installed. Obvious metal, because there is a cultural bias at play indicating battle scars are to be celebrated, and also because I feel barefaced attempting to pass as whollly uninjured. I suspect I also harbour a certain resentment for the people who chose to utilize torture, and eliminating the evidence of my injury would whitewash the crime itself. I've been told I resemble a certain boss enemy from Grim Terminus Alliance, which is a bit embarrassing, but seems to impress the locals.

Worst injury has been being smacked into a wall by a brute. Of course, I don't actually remember it happening but I have recovered. Took about three months, but I recovered.

Thanks to the blue light, they came back and found me, still alive. We had a doctor with us, so I began getting care right away. I am not sure how I got into the hospital (I was unconscious at the time, and some things are better off being left ambiguous, but I suspect the method ranges from somewhat to highly unorthodox).

I look like a husk and will likely need a walker and pain management medication for the rest of my life. My limbs are cybernetized now and so are my eyes; I breathe with mechanical aid and I shit into a bag. I feel great when I'm smoking poppies and like roadkill when I sober up. If I find a boyfriend who's physically attracted to me at first sight, he's going to be a fetishist; I'd rather find someone who'd like me without the augments and puts up with them for my heart and wit. I'm glad I lived more than I wish I'd died, but some days it's by a slimmer margin than others.

As for me? Nothing major. A dumbass vorcha with a flamer exploded next to me not too long ago. knocked me on my ass and caused me to blackout for a few seconds. Got right back up and finished the job though.

Well... I've been shot in the ass twice. Once during the Skyllian Blitz, Once during action in London during the last days of the Reaper War. The other one was getting both legs broken by Marcus Koren during Operation Salvation's Bane.

Yeah... I was damn lucky.

Certainly beats mine, which is just quarian whining. I had, even by our standards, a wreck of an immune system (with Geth treatments I've seen a huge improvement). When I was seven, I picked up an infection and when my fever spiked, I started reacting to everything-plastizers that made suit parts flexible, the medical tubing. I got the best treatment available, but they still faced a choice between suppressing my immune system to stop the allergic reactions or enhancing it to fight the infection. I lost most of that year, and I found out much later that our captain had actually cleared my parents to have a second child (they chose not to).

If you asked me before my daughter was born, I'd say that losing the same kidney three times was the worst experience I'd had.... But I'd say the worst experience was an improperly done cryo on me.... which caused me to go into labor upon awakening... three months before my daughter was supposed to be born.

She's healthy now, but then.... it was touch and go.

Punched by a Krogan Battlemaster, knocked through a steel window plate and fell down a steep hill coated in rebar and scrap metal.
Shattered my ribs, I got stabbed by countless metal bits that punched through my armor- I got an infection, lost about a pint of blood and drifted in and out of consciousness. The doctors later told me I died not once, but -twice- on the surgery table, and spent a long time in a medically induced coma.

They took this time to implant me with new synthetic ribs and the first run of phantom implants. When I woke up, I needed PT and struggled to learn to walk again. I've still got a nine inch long scar on my back from the surgery, and frequent nightmares about falling again. Fun times.

Both my arms were riddled with bullets from a... marauder that was trying to disarm and capture me. It was during a battle in Caracas at the eve of the Crucible's activation. I lost a lot of blood and passed out before I was dragged to a safe location. The left one was too badly damaged and had to be amputated unfortunately... I walked around with a cybernetic placeholder for a few weeks while I was recovering in a field hospital in Cartagena, Colombia. Got my cloned replacement soon after. Feels very natural! Really, you don't even notice the difference! As if it was always there..

I scorched my left arm when I blew up my old omni-tool to ward of a bunch of cannibals that were about to chew on me.
It took several sessions of surgery to remove the necrotic tissue and about 8 weeks of wearing a hydroactive medigel-laced bandage.
It wasn't so much the fact that they had to do surgery that bugged me, but the incredible pain I had the week after that. You know how even small burs hurt like hell? Yeah, my entire arm felt like that for days.
Today my arm is fine again and thanks to the wonders of modern medicine I have no lasting issues aside from scars.
I still regret that my old omni-tool was turned to into a smoldering piece of junk, I put so much work in it... *sigh*

A field medic stitched me back up. When I could talk I asked him out. Then he asked me to marry him.

The scar looks like an evil necklace of gristle and scar tissue and be damned if I'm ever getting it operated on. That was a gift from the first man who loved me. I mean, other girls get trinkets. I get my life saved under gunfire. The necklace stays.

I have a bit of a rough voice as a side effect, but other'n that I'm okay.
