RE:IcarusSame to you Ma'am. Yeah, I got promoted a couple months ago, and my contract still isn't up for another 6. Things have been great, Burke is an officer now at the Alliance Tower, so I run in to her a couple times in the garrison.

I'm thinking I'll stay with the Alliance. I actually just got a letter from the ECP. With the shortage of officers, they're looking for more people to be recruited into OCS. If I make the decision to renew my contract after the 6 months, and I get promoted to Corporal, I can transfer there for a 10 week program along with another 3 months at Basic Officer School to become a commissioned officer.

I think I'm going to go the career soldier route. I feel like I'm in the right place here.

I was wondering if you had any advice to me about how to handle those kids and help them?

Reply to HereToHelpThe trick is to let them come to you and gain trust. And whatever you do, do not betray that trust. Your best bet is to help out at shelters that have been deemed safe by the rats, here is the latest list of those shelters and charities.

This is slightly cheating for gaining trust, but [here] is a list of the duct rat picture code, most of it is for Tayseri and the presidium, but I've tried to get the other wards included on the list as well. Use that to figure out where the safe areas are and leave food (make sure all species can eat it, or put a picture of a turian on the dextro food) and clothes there, and again, this helps you know what shelters they go to.

Do your best to help them, a lot of them are being forgotten in favor of children on home planets and colonies.

I'd ask you in person, only I'm not scheduled to be back down at the club until tomorrow afternoon (got a series of long boing CEO-type meetings - worse, with stuffy sorts who wouldn't regard my usual joie de vivre as 'appropriate' for a businesswoman, so I'll have to behave myself and act equally stuff and boing... anyway), and this is something that may be time-sensitive.

Okay, so, do you want to be in an erotic film? ;) By which I mean, in the near future I'll be doing some work for ExtranetPlayground, as a supporting cast member in a certain film that I can't name due to various non-disclosure agreements and such being in force for the moment. Thing is, it being one of their 'porn with plot' projects, and a big one, there are going to be a lot of parts for minor characters in various plot-centric scenes. Would you be at all interested in coming down for an audition for something or other? It's not an open call, but if you'd like I can drop your name in the casting director's inbox - if it panned out it'd only be a couple of days, and just a speaking part, no sex.

Interested? Granted you'd probably wind up having to tell people "Yes I was in film-Daia-cannot-reveal-yet, but no I didn't have sex in it" every once in a while afterwards, but I can promise it'll be lots of fun.
