The day I set foot on the Citadel again would be a dark day indeed. Besides, why so angry, First Sergeant? Did you send your family to Sanctuary?]I mean, I'm sure the Alliance investigative service or CSec would be pleased to fill you in. No, I just have this aversion to genocide. You might want to try it sometime-for some reason people don't tend to shoot you as much. The funny thing is, aliens helped take back Earth and save humanity from extinction, while Cerberus was off fighting the Alliance and running death camps. Humanity First, right? You stuck the technology of our greatest enemy in the brains of our own people, and hampered us at every turn while the Alliance, the true representatives of humanity, actually did something beyond mutilating their own people in sick experiments.
Such poetry from one of the descendants of Beckett and Rioridan. Christ, Joyce must be turning in his grave. And you turned my friends into monsters, and took my home from me, all with unholy abuse of science you and your kind wrought. Even if all the aliens that have your cheap knickers in a twist over decide to fight us, at least they won't betray their own race in the process you stupid, stupid, woman. It's funny, really, how little you know of what we did during the war and before. Enjoy your cirrhosis, old man. HereToHelpI'm pretty sure everyone and their cousin who even set foot on Horizon got integrated. You must really, really suck at what you do.
Take it from an expert - not everyone in Sanctuary was integrated. No matter how frightened people might be, nobody would sign up for a refugee shelter if they'd been greeted by integrated. There's a reason they wore helmets, after all. Also ![]() Also Your image is broken. LiaLombardi wrote:Your "handful of scientists" killed people of every race, even Humans. Cerberus did nothing but add to the burdens of a galaxy at war, of course you were one of our biggest problems.
Cerberus pushed forward the boundaries of science, in the same way that every major government is surely doing now. The amphibians are trying to catch up to what we accomplished, let alone the Hierarchy's Office of Technological Reconnaissance. Without the research of our scientists, humanity would be comprehensively outgunned within a generation. On a less important note, it's not exactly like you're helping out Humanity. If the other races based all of their opinions of us off Cerberus then we'd be hated by everybody. And if we all acted like cerberus agents then I wouldn't blame them. I'm sorry for being rude but... never mind. I'm not sorry at all. Besides, there's nothing wrong with aliens hating us. Not as long as they fear us too. 'Genocide' implies that the integration procedure killed people. It did not - it made them better soldiers. If humanity had been bothered to properly enforce conscription or a regimented militarisation policy, then Sanctuary would never have been necessary. The funny thing is, aliens helped take back Earth and save humanity from extinction, while Cerberus was off fighting the Alliance and running death camps. Soooooo just the research staff and the friendly neighborhood greeters. Leaving, what, 99.8% of the population that came there in droves? Genocide doesn't end with murder. And it ended up being murder anyway, so what's the difference? Cerberus didn't kill them in the beginning? Just stuck bits of Reaper tech in them against their will and turned others into husks. How very merciful of you. And my point stands. cerberus did everything it could to sabotage the war effort-nothing they did was necessary, sane or in anyway helpful to the people they claimed to represent. Also, you do realise that it's mighty hard to efficiently implement conscription when your capital is destroyed and with it your census data and electoral roll, right? And that even if we had conscripted as many humans as we could get our hands on, along with the thousands of volunteers and people who were conscripted, we wouldn't have had the ships, guns or supplies to make them soldiers rather than bodies? But I'm sorry, the Alliance couldn't be bothered saving itself or its population! We should have gone the Cerberus route and turned against other organics while the Reapers tried to destroy us all. That's the smart, pragmatic thing to do. First Sergeant Natalie King, 2/4th Marines |

So is Lighty's little runabout still lost and in need of a tow, or have they managed to refit their engines to be powered by Dirk Black villain monologuing now?
...I know I ought to be more upset that people like this are still loitering around (mind you, I ought to recall from my history classes that the mindset is by no means unique to any one era or species), but reading today's efforts, and going back to the opening 'hello, someone please talk to us???', that's mainly what I'm struck by. |

That's because Cerberus Personnel are required to have a bipolar personality, so that they can go between "smug self-superiority" and "oh shrell someone save us from ourselves" at the blink of an eye.
