"Kari, it's been a pleasure... if you are up for it, drinks are on me."

But oh, there she came, oh no, that human.

"Way, thank you... It was fun." Dang, she gave her that headpiece... okay, what the hey.
Taleeze took her 'crown' and put it on, turning towards the audience and bowing, then walked towards the border of the dancefloor. The damned thing was too small for her nose and the band was slipping under her upper Le'ku which was already itching from sweat.

The dancefloor was filling with regular patrons again as they went to the sideline. So that's what you get for putting up with that quarian? She should have known.

"That'll make a nice addition to my trophies, thank you very much, Miss...?"

Kari laughed. It hurt because she could barely breath. But she couldn't stop laughing at how utterly ridiculous the asari looked. It seemed, that even though she had lost the competition. She had gotten her wish after all.

Taleeze was embarrassed on the dance floor.

"No, asari" she said, between giggles. "I think I will be leaving now since I've had my fun" and with that, she began walking towards the exit, grimacing every few steps as her feet screamed in protest.

"enjoy your reward"

Hu, Michelle wasn't actually planning to give those away, just to lend them for the night but... Ho well.

"Rondor! Michelle Rondor, but call me Michelle. I'm the girl from that charity, Leaving the Ducts? Loved your performance with Daia, loved your performance tonight! And by the way, you look awesome with those, let me bring out my B game." she said, whipping out her NEW YEAR PARTY GLASSES and putting them on.

She then turned to Pariah. "Hey, just so you know, everyone is amazed by what you did. I don't know how this would have turned out if you had biotics! You miss are an artist."

While Taleeze was introduced to Michelle, Kari was obviously trying to sneak away, No no no, not so easy.

You dance together, you drink together. Taleeze lurched forward and caught Kari's arm. The glasses slipped down her nose blocking her vision. She frowned at how Kari adressed her as 'asari'. That was the exile charms for you.

"No, come on, that's not an option. I owe you a drink and I make sure that's not going to be for eternity."
She pushed the glasses up her forehead with her other hand.

"Also, my name is Taleeze," she said, while dragging the much taller Kari towards the bar. "and this here is Miss Rondor."

Taleeze
"Lovely name," Skylar nodded. "I'm sure she'll grow into it beautifully."

She returned her attention to the dance floor, while Linya retrieved her drink. Some of the onlookers were cheering - understandably, Skylar felt, and she raised her glass in salute to the dancing couple (both of them, in fact, although she would have to admit the asari enjoyed a certain favouritism with her). She caught Taleeze's name on raised voices, too, and wondered whether there were other acquaintances around besides Linya; plenty of time to find out. Taleeze was enjoying her 'victory lap', and Skylar was content to wait for the moment, raising her glass again and blowing a kiss when she saw the asari looking her way.

"Was that 'boss-clan' I heard you called?" she asked Linya curiously.

“Now that’s a coincidence!” In fact Arina would have never guessed that Sulla would be interested in that line of work. “In fact, it seems legitimate to share the secrets with you now, doesn’t it?” Her eyes were giving away a few secrets already. Then she took a sip of her drink to be serious again.

“You’re right. I think these area some of the most interesting times to be here. All the species have embassies or representatives now and something new is forming. You can be a part of shaping this. Still… some try to raise issues and some are barely holding together.” Namely the batarians who didn’t even have a proper embassy yet.
“But in the end we only achieve things when we find common ground. I am especially glad the quarians could also set up camp again. I am barely old enough to remember what that used to be.” whoops… she hoped this didn’t put off Sulla now.

Her attention got drawn back to the dancefloor, where the quarian had just given in. Arian also applauded and then saw the two doing a small piece together. Wait, what did that human hand Taleeze there? Looked like some silly crown. Arina chuckled as it looked a bit ridiculous.
“I don’t think she’s that old to have centuries of training. One, tops. But I think, biotics are okay. Other than they just look good they are a part of us. You don’t fight with one hand behind your back constantly as well, do you? Also, that was a really nice effect, I’ve never seen that.”

She thought about meeting and congratulating Taleeze, if she had a chance. The asari was always nice and joyful on the forums, probably a fun person to know.

"I know I am" Kari said dismissively, "unlike you, flailing around like a moron in tho--"

Kari didn't have time to finish her insult before Taleeze had grabbed her, dragging the exhausted quarian towards the bar.

"What is wrong with you? Let me go, asari! I told you I've had enough!"

Forced into the seat she looked at Skylar, and sighed. Not even bothering to hide her displeasure at being forced into this

"Hello"

While ‘motivating’ Kari to come for a drink Taleeze managed to wave Linya – the hug would be inevitable and she was looking forward to it as this was a nice surprise!

But she somehow managed to squeeze in a kiss with Skylar first - Linya was occupied with a cocktail. Her face must feel heated and the golden headgear got in the way. “Look at my victory trophy, love.” She giggled and put it on the counter, eying it. A really chunky piece it was, she thought. Humans… they had funny tastes sometimes

“May I introduce: this is Skylar and this is Kari’Zar and Michelle, and this is Linyaaaaaaa!” she was spreading her arms for a hug.

Goddess was she thirsty! After taking a sip from her drink, which had heated upo unpleasantly by now, she ordered another Lumalumi, Thessian bitter lemonade. No high grade alcohol in her state!
“The quarian here drinks on me.” She added for the barkeeper.

Michelle giggled, walking around an aggravated Pariah.
"I know right? I can't dance worth shit.
But I have so much fun doing it. And in a way, I made YOU look even better maybe!"

Linya nodded rather vigorously.
"Yep! This is my sister's club, so that's what Hab calls me - and her bondmate Emily, and Mother as well!"
She hadn't got Emile's name right once, even after so many days staying in his spare room.

And there were the dancing pair - and a human Linya didn't recognise. Never one to turn down an opportunity for a hug, she dove into Taleeze's arms with a squeal.
"Hiiiiii!"
She looked over at Jura, the nearby asari on the bar, and winked - Jura nodded, making a note on her omnitool.
"There's a load of quarian-safe drinks on the menu," she pointed out, with a smile at Kari and a wave of her hand at said menu, "and you're with me so it's all discounted! Oh, and congratulations on your thingie, Taleeze!"
She hadn't let go of Taleeze yet.

"That is... quite a trophy, darling," Skylar smiled, barely missing a beat at the sight of the gaudy adornment. "Hello Michelle, Kari'Zar. Quite the masterful display you put on just now," she added to the latter.

When the dueling dancers concluded their feud, Leeta sighed wistfully. The show had been so spectacular, she was disappointed to see it end. She kept the two dancers in her peripheral vision as she listened to her asari friend and the handsome turian, not wanting to lose track of the quarian who had nearly outdanced the asari. Part of her wanted very much to go over to her and tell her how amazingly she had done, and maybe ask how long she had been a dancer...but that might have been a rude question. Leeta had never met a real quarian dancer before.

She was only vaguely aware of the topics of what the other two were doing with the lives the reaper war had left them. She wasn't busy cheering for the dancers, but she was still content to just watch them in silence. Occasionally she would pipe up with a sound of acknowledgement. Sulla's comment about knowing what went on in the galaxy did catch her attention though, and she smiled. For her, being in the know during the reaper war had been a luxury.

"Hmm?" Leeta murmured in response to Sulla before she actually processed his words. "Oh no," she laughed. "I wouldn't do half as well out there," she shook her head, her grin evident in her voice. "I wonder who she is...the quarian I mean. She did so well...and I don't really know if I wouldd consider the biotics cheating. Quarian suits have plenty of upgrades and programs you can install that help you dance...they are fairly widely used among quarians who enjoy dancing." Leeta never had, but that was mostly out of never wanting her parents to find out when she was young enough for such a thing to matter. By the time she was grown, she didn't have time to obsess over dancing the way she had as a child.

It suddenly occurred to her that if she didn't talk to the dancer before she left, Leeta might never see her again. Right now the quarian was seated, but Leeta made a mental note to approach her later. "Please do not feel you have to linger by the bar on my account, now that those two have cleared off." Smiling, Leeta sipped her drink. She didn't want to get in the way of Arina's fun, after all. Arina definitely deserved her fun after working in a place like the embassy day in and day out.

Sulla's eyes widen a bit when he realizes form Arina's comment that the asari has been alive when FOANBAR, a scandal in the turian armed forces, became public in 2034. It is a bit off putting, sure, but Sulla mentally shrugs his shoulders. Relatively, Arina cannot be much older than Sulla. However, the age of asari was sometimes difficult to guess from their faces alone, at least for turians.

"Yea, it's nice that we can have all the species in the galactic community, making decisions together and trying to steer the ship in the right direction.. Though you only have to take a glance at the news and see it's not going exactly smoothly, but I guess nobody expected it would. Us, the humies and krogan all at each other's throats. Then there's the batarians mixing things up even more. But that's politics for you, you know?"

He has to nod to Arina's analogy about biotics and dancing. "No, I sure wouldn't. And you're both right, that looked pretty cool." He laughs when Leeta brings up the modifications to suits. "Is there anything you can't cram into those things?" he says with a cheeky grin, clearly indicating he is joking.

The turian finishes his beer and eyes Arina. "Would you like something more to drink? I suppose we could go to the couches at the back of the bar, it's less noisy there, take the drinks there. Or more dancing? Whatever you fancy."

Arina was torn between her friend and the delightful company of Sulla. She’d make up to Leeta and she was happy the quarian would understand. Hm, but let’s just drag out the pleasure off suspension a little bit more, she thought.

“Oh, your suits have all sorts of fancy upgrades indeed, that’s fascinating.” While suckling at her cocktail straw in a slightly more expressive way than necessary looking over towards the group around Taleeze and the quarian, Arina suggested to Leeta: “You could just go over there and ask her, by means of expressing your admiration? I think she’ll like that.” I’ll make it up to you, gal. Have fun!

She looked at Sulla, meeting his eyes and holding them for a second before she asked. “That, Mr. Talodias, is an enticing suggestion.” She sucked her cocktail dry, managing to make the gargling sound classy. “Let’s have another drink and move over to the couches. Maybe we can engage in another round on the floor later. I like to hear more about your views on galactic politics.” Talk dirty to me. She turned to the barkeep and ordered a Thessian Sunrise, which was produced in an incredible fast manner.
“The krogan are something, indeed. If you ask me, a lot depends on how they manage to empower their females in the society. There are hopeful signs really. Did you ever work with krogan?”
When the drink was ready, she got up, straightening her dress. As it were with such short dresses, the act of pulling them down slightly made them appear even shorter. Nothing to hide though as she was keeping a tight workout regime. Releasing tension after work with the side effect of good looks.

Anticipation made the cake even sweeter as they said. Good thing tomorrow was a day off.

Thinking about it, the headpiece would be something that fitted Linya’s spirited nature much better.

“Way, that’s nice, Linya, thanks! I wasn’t really aware this place belongs to your family, also not that you'd be on teh Citadel.” Taleeze scanned the menus. “So what would you suggest, what’s really exceptional here?” Operating over the head of the hugging small maiden, Taleeze emptied her refreshing lemonade and was ready to try something more energetic. Somehow she had a feeling what Kari would order…

Directed at her, she added: “I recognized a lot of what you were doing. The vids you referred me to were helping. Do you come here often to dance?”

Underneath her helmet Kari was rolling her eyes at Michelle's comment. The human hadn't made her look better. If anything, the human's distracting movements and idiotic headgear had made her performance worse.

"Whatever"

The other human, Skylar was it? Got a slightly better reaction from the exile. Though it was still obvious that the quarian really didn't want to be there right now.

"Thank you, Skylar."

Looking at Linya (the asari better not try what she had tried with Taleeze unless she wanted an angry quarian kick) the quarian simply said one word and word only. "Water." She wasn't going to start poisoning her body with alcohol like these morons currently were.

"No, asa--" She paused for a moment, trying to remember Taleeze's name before continuing. "Taleeze. This is my first time at this particular club. Chosen because it had good word of mouth on the extranet."

Sulla can't help but to stare a little bit when Arina starts to pull of her antics. He tore his eyes from the gorgeous asari in front of him to look at the dextro-list behind the bar. A human cocktail called Sonic Screwdriver seemed simple enough to suit his tastes for now.

The turian's mandibles flared into a smile when Arina says she wants to discuss about galactic politics. Especially the tone of voice was something that would put a grin to any man's face. "I must warn you, I've been out of touch with the extranet and basically the rest of galaxy for three or four months, so my knowledge of current affairs might be a bit outdated. I can try of course."

"Worked with a krogan?" Sulla's expression turns a bit funny. The lad was fairly terrified of krogan to be precise. That comes with being charged and threatened with a gun on his first day on the station, and later having to face Brutes during the war. "Well you might say so. I've fought with them. And against them. I'd say a krogan would call both of those things working together. Me, I'd much rather say 'sure, there was this nice krogan accountant at a place where I worked.' You didn't see a lot of them on the Citadel before the war and after it I've mainly been in all-turian company. But it'd be nice to learn to know a krogan better. See what they really all, separate the myths and preconceptions from the actual thing."

He fixes his posture slightly, leaning to the counter but sure to lean towards Arina ever so slightly. Her scent got a bit stronger from that angle, and Sulla fought to inhale normally. "I've actually yet to see a krogan female. I've seen them on the holovids sure, and read all kinds of stuff but I haven't spied a krogan woman with my own eyes. They do seem a bit..." Sulla struggles a bit to find a word that is not offensive. "...more level-headed then the males. Which in interspecies relationships means fewer slights, real and imaginary. Peace is something we can't have enough right now."

Sulla's Screwdriver finally arrives (dantra-fruit and vodka), and Sulla sets toward the couches waving Leeta goodbye if she decides not to join them, making sure Arina is able to keep up as he maneuvers through the edges of the dance floor. Spirits, does that skirt make her waist look absolutely amazing!

Klicksan is greeted with a wave of a hand in return, although Juhani has to stifle a smirk. The turian's name simply and honestly said sounds like a bad compromise. "In his defense I'm sure he gets to do a lot of boring, being an engineer." he remarks and places his own order. Sur'Keshian Sugarswill, the alcoholic portion supplied by fermented and distilled sugar reed juice and sugar by sweetened and carbonated lurik juice, or in other words coke and rum made on the salarian homeworld. It had been a long time since he last had a proper Terran coke and rum, but with Earth and its alcohol and lemonade industry still reeling and frankly being not high on the list of industries to restore, this had to do.

He looks across the dance floor to where Sulla has gone to with Arina. It was beginning to look very much like blue-on-blue was in tonight's itinerary for the two of them if this kept up. If he had only known they were talking about krogan over there, Juhani would have contributed gladly. But he didn't, so he didn't.

"Do you guys always hang out in bars or do you do something else?" He directed his inquiry to the three. "I know a combat arena not unlike Armax's, but it specializes in historical re-enactments with era-approriate props. Heard they have some scenarios from Calibran wars and the like from your history, and the obligatory Stalingrad charge from two hundred years ago..." Juhani falls quiet all of a sudden, deep in thought. "I just remembered something. 66 Terran years..." quick glance on his omnitool's calculator "That's little shy of 53 years in Palaven years. 66 years was it took for my species from succeeding in powered heavier than air flight to set foot on our moon. Add another 66 years and we were harvesting the asteroids of our solar system for resources and had settlements on other worlds. Guess what you get when you add yet another 66 years? First Contact War or Relay 314 incident to us folks with the Hierarchy. Makes me wonder that will happen in 2223. Though all this musings of advance must be boring to you, after all you started the climb to space 15 000 years ago." Juhani keeps on talking, his ramblings now more fueled by booze than logic.

Strike, twelve points for the asari. Water.
When the sealed container arrived, Taleeze handed the thing to Kari. She really wanted to know why the exile was always so repulsive or if she ever smiled under that vosor. Hey, having her using her name was a step forward. In a way she usually was like a volus, who’d call her Thessia-clan all the time.

“Here you go. The music’s pretty good indeed. I also got the idea from the extranet. I’d have missed something if I hadn’t come here!” She toasted to Kari with an appreciative nod.

“Well, Michelle, what about you? You don’t come across as someone who goes to dance clubs all that much, no offense! You run a charity and all. How’s that coming along, is it received well?”

Then she poked Linya, grinning. “Hey girl, I’d like to toast with you. You should let go for that probably and tell me what to order next.”

Arina especially liked his last sentence. Stabilizing the peace after the nightmare indeed was priority one. She touched hands ith Leeta, giving her a smile and a wink as the two headed for the couches. The club had a nice arrangement of private corners and more public spaces, typical for many asari style clubs.

Sulla moved through the crowd, making sure she would have no trouble following, like a guard, clearing her path, what a gentleman. So she could stride leisurely behind him, making sure he had a good view when he turned to check on her. Which he did often. He may be young but definitely no boy, he had manners, something Arina liked very much.

She sat down and slid into the semi circular sofa with a small table in front of them. A small bowl with dextro and levo nuts was filled.

“Krogan women. There are some on the Citadel but as it stands, they are just beginning to climb the ladder of social importance. Anyhow, each step counts and from what I have heard, they are quite capable of keeping their ground. So, there’s hope.” Did she really want to discuss krogan sociology all night? Did he want to?
“But I'd rather talk about you… you seem much more interesting than krogans.” She slid a bit closer, leaning towards him, legs crossed, arm sprawled on the backrest.

“You look like the sporty type.” Her eyes traced his legs and hips. “Is that all the turian bootcamp or do you have any special secret for that body of yours?” She suckled on her straw, the cocktail was delicious. This had in fact been really bold now. But hey.
