Vohk pulled out his binoculars, and, through the haze of smoke and rapidly steaming snow, the outline of the runner, but little beyond that.

"Confirm, I have eyes on the runner. Lupin, cut them off. Chief Maliszewski, I need you to intercept and restrain the runner. We need to find out who these people are."

Vohk ordered, hoping that the combined efforts of a quarian driver and an N7 operative would be able to handle that properly.

"Roger that." Lupin floored it now, moving the vehicle to intercept the runner, maintaining a quiet prayer in the back of his mind that he wouldn't run over some inconveient bump under the snow and get himself and his passenger killed. The vehicle left a spray of snow on either side of it as it went, before Lupin brought it to a halt.

"Your turn!" He called up to Everett.

There it was; the crash site. Everett could only hazard a guess as to what could've caused it to make such a rough landing on the asari homeworld. They'd find the answers soon enough, of course, once they apprehended this runner. As the vehicle slowed to a halt, the human brought his machine gun to bear on the survivor.

"Freeze," Everett shouted at the runner, "Hands where I can see 'em! Identify yourself or we'll open fire!" He doubted that a single person could do much against an APC convoy, but he wasn't about to take chances. Unknowns were always to be treated as potential hostiles until proven otherwise.

Ervo'jorah vas Plith ran past the truck completely ignoring the warning Shouted at him. He was too fevered to hear anything. He did catch a glimpse of the truck however as he ran by it. Startled, he swung out his assault rifle with one arm, firing a short burst that knocked the rifle out of his hand. A single shot bouncing of the KB of the lookout.

(OOC: No MGS in the lookout orion.)

Gestran NPC here. Sorry for my tardyness. Have to type this in on my cell.

Ervo'jorah
Ervo's shot was quite lucky. It struck Everett's kinetic barrier, taking a sizable chunk out of its integrity. The human flinched, crouching down into the truck to avoid the rest of the rounds.

"Shots fired, shots fired! Patrol One-Actual, requesting clearance to engage!" Everett rose back up to see the runner unarmed once again, seemingly in a daze as he tried to run past the truck. "... Wait. Target dropped his weapon. Looks like he's in shock." That's when the human decided to take a risk. He climbed out of the truck and hopped down to the ground, the snow crunching under his boots.

"Mmph, moving to apprehend the target." Everett immediately began to sprint after the quarian. Unlike him, he was healthy and fully aware of his surroundings, so he quickly caught up to him. "Stop," He yelled, before diving to tackle Ervo'Jorah.

The tackle sent the already weak quarian to the ground, his suit ripping completely in places. With direct exposure the cold air sending him into a shock, he starts shaking as if having a fit in Maliszewski's arms.

Ervo'jorah
Everett froze up once he noticed the damage to the quarian's suit. With this much exposure to the elements... if he stayed out here any longer, he would surely die.

"Oh shit..." Everett wasted no time in pulling up the quarian. He began to drag him back towards his vehicle, but the alien was almost dead weight in his arms.

"Patrol One-Actual, the target is a quarian! His suit is ruptured and he's seizing! Target is not, say again, not a threat! I need a medevac here, ASAP!"

The Salarian watched and listened to the events unfolding as best as he could as his and Neil's truck rumbled onwards. He tapped into the squad communications.

"Subject handled? New directive? Or continue on current route further into crash zone?"

Vohk had watched the whole thing through his binoculars, the flash of weapons fire encasing his heart in ice colder than the Thessian tundra.

Maliszewki's voice was enough to thaw that ice, but not entirely, the announcement of a wounded quarian throwing a new wrinkle into this whole mess.

"Understood! Get him into your vehicle! Lupin, if he's a quarian, you're our best chance of stabilizing the runner until the medical team gets here. Do what you can!"

He barked, before switching back to Camp Cobalt's channel.

"Cobalt, this is Patrol one. I have a wounded survivor, quarian, in need of a medevac. Get the kodiak over here with an emergency med team, pronto!"

He ordered, even as the salarian sergeant's voice crackled over the line. Vohk frowned severely for a moment, thinking furiously before answering.

"Proceed as previously ordered. We still need to secure the crash site."

Vohk then looked at the source of their recent woe, the crashed ship, make and model unknown to him. He fiddled with his communicator, making himself audible on all open channells.

"To any survivors of the crashed vessel, my name is Vohkaidin Knox, and I speak for the Thessian Escort and Reconstruction Force. Please identify yourselves. You shall not be harmed, and your wounded shall recieve immediate medical treatment. Please respond."

After all if there was one survivor, chances were there might be more.

Lupin was stumbling out of the vehicle, before skidding to a halt next to the quarian on the ground. Suit tears. Fix those first, stop more bacteria from getting in. Lupin brought his arm up and released medigel into his palm, which he then rubbed over the exposed areas. Following that, a layer of omni gel was put over that for a makeshift patch. He ran a diagnostics check on the suit, looking for failures in suit seals.

While that happened, he brought two small syringes out of his suit. A dip in medigel to help sterilize them, in order to prevent introducing more infection, and then he put both into the injection port of the suit, depressing the plunger.

"Antihistamine to counteract allergic reactions to levo viruses and material. Antibiotics to help counter infection." He mumbled to himself as he put the syringes in the snow. He switched off his translator now, speaking in Khelish.

"It is alright. You are in good hands. I've patched your suit and given you something to help you fight off the infection. This should keep you stable until the professionals come." He whispered. "Can you tell me your name?" He asked, moving to apply more omni gel to help seal off the suit. It wasn't a perfect patch, but it was better than nothing.

He looked back up at Everett now, translators switching back on. "Good thing that I remember something of that pre pilgrimage first aid course." He smiled weakly behind his mask.

Back at camp Cobalt, Helena was in full form.

"You heard the man! I want medical teams prepped and ready! I want the Kodiak in the air five minutes ago. Come on people, this what we've been preparing for, move, Move, MOVE!"

She bellowed, setting a fire under the ass of everyone in the Command center. Lives were at stake. And Templar would not be found wanting.

Not on my watch.

"Well, that escalated quickly." Neil said to himself out loud.

He patched into the comms and spoke.

"Anyone know what the hell was was running from? It obviously wasn't us, from what I saw."

Neil DeVore
"Poor bastard..." Titus shook his head slightly, before switching his comm on.

"Not sure. If he's a quarian, he might've be injured in the crash, since we're getting a medevac. That could've made him dazed, fevered; probably just running for the sake of running."
He gave a half-shrug, fully aware that Neil couldn't see it.

"But, y'know, that's speculation. I don't know."

Titus-Train
"Caution advised. We don't know what caused crash. He could have been expecting pursuers from whatever downed his ship. May show up shortly. Who knows?" He pulled out a pair of binoculars and scanned the crash site as Neil maneuvered them in over the rocky terrain.

Wenrum
"That could be the case. If I had ran away from a crash like that there are three possible reasons. The ship is about to explode, there is someone or something chasing me, I've gone crazy or possibly all of the above, who knows. Either way, we need to get that poor guy patched up before we get any kind of coherent answer. Should we scout the rest of the area, sir?"
Link Link Quote

Neil DeVore
Coming up on the quarian ship, it was obvious that the crash had been violent. The ship was small, no bigger than 3 times the size of a kodiak shuttle. It was however still largely intact. It's front hatch was open and outside lay 4 more quarians. 2 Of them lifeless, the other 2 crawling away more than anything. It's cargo bay had been breached as well, with several unmarked crates having fallen out. They all bear the unmistakable look of Eezo containers however.

"Cobalt, this is command, negative on the use of air transports, we can't risk attracting any more attention to the crash, use of emergency equipment and armor however, is now authorized." "Transport any remains and survivors back to base by ground as soon as you can." "We're in talks with thessian forces and they're taking it from here." "Their ETA is 2 hours however." "Command out."

Templar command
Gestran stopped about 50 meters from the crash site, jumped out of of the truck and got in cover behind his truck, his pistol trained at the crash site.

"Orders vohk? Do we gear up before checking it out?"
