Ever since Sovereign and the geth hit them, the Primers or Primates or Primeans or whatever they call themselves have been getting progressively more vocal about how ineffective the Alliance is and so on. You'd think they'd realize the benefits of, perhaps, a bigger Alliance presence after getting attacked first by Sovereign and then by Cerberus, but then that's separatism for you. Never let little things logic get in the way of how terrible 'big government' is.

Personally, what was most alarming in that article was the 'inside source' with the cops - it takes a lot of fucking nerve for local PD to shit on marines like that, even one with sympathies towards rebels. I feel for the poor guys who have to work with those dumb assholes. Hope that won't be us in a week. I'd rather work with some incompetent security corp than a stupid badge with a grudge against the Alliance. Don't these people remember who pushed the geth off and made their resistance an actual threat to Cerberus? Sure wasn't the local sheriff.
