Tho, prolly woulda workt better ifns yeh was a vanguard....

It's called tactics and the proper use of suppressive fire.

Nat wrote:Welcome to CDN. Good to see more Alliance, even if they're retired. I'm still active duty.

..Out of curiosity why did you as a Sentinel charge husks?

My Tech Armour lets out a big explosion when it's destroyed. The husks were just a little bit down the road, I had a flaming Omni-Blade and a modded Katana Shotgun... it made sense at the time.

Fair enough I guess. Desperate times call for desperate measures.

And for us moronic humans. Can't forget the moronic humans who are just begging for something to brain them. :)

While some do business on here, it indeed is mostly good for fun.

Thanks for the welcome, Ms Taleeze.

Oh, now that's cool. The place is unique but you can make it your needs and it has it's very lovely sides, just don't sell yourself accidentally! If you need tips or information, please feel free to ask!:)

Mm, I've heard the warnings but I've still got my heart set on it - I've always enjoyed travelling (especially for work) but Illium would be my first time on an alien-majority world.

Edit: I'm sorry, that sounds rather harsh. I meant to say that Illium will be the first time I'll have lived (even if only for a few months, thank you, Board of Governors!) on a world where humans are neither the majority nor a sizable minority, like on the Citadel. Still, I'm looking forward to it.

It is!!!!! But we have another big trapball fan on this site, the charming miss Daia T'Nara. She might be happy to see another follower of this ... well, sports;) I am more of a pildavi girl.

I know people bad-mouth cricket for being slow, but trapball is just... Ugh. I try to follow an alien sport once every year or so (just to expand the horizons, as it were) - I can't say pildavi appealed to me, but anything's better than sarophon'tialamenus. I quite like hanar, but I will never be able to understand them.

GoneRampant wrote:Now you see this is why a husk managed to brain me on Earth- I always charge in, and I was a damn Sentinel. I made a couple posts before this, sorry.

I'm Issac, I run an electronics shop with some buddies on the Citadel. I was with the Alliance, but left seven months ago. We're in Zakera, and considering some of the larger companies and what they charge, we're pretty damn cheap.

From one newbie to another, welcome.

Cricket's a decent sport, heard a few Earth teams are trying to get back on their feet. I kinda miss the games we used to play in the SA. Sport's the last thing on most people's minds these days.

Belated welcome.

It's a shame, really - most of the classic grounds were used as processing centres during the war. I just can't imagine watching a test at Lords or the MCG and knowing how many people died in that place.

...I'm sorry, morbid again. It must be something in the water.

Thanks for the welcome.

I find most sports are just plain boring. Anyways, welcome to CDN, don't mind the nutters.

Yeeeah. I for one used to go to the MCG all the time growing up. Watched some classic matches there, both cricket and football.

Don't think I'll be able to go there again.

Morbid happens. Has to happen, so we remember what happened during the war and actually deal with it, instead of shoving it under the rug and walking around with a galaxy-wide case of denial.

But yeah, enjoy your stay.

yeah well, you didn't see the '75 Hawthorn-Geelong clash. Three guys down and out for the count and only three points in it.

AFL.

You probably haven't heard of it, since it's a pretty localised sport even on Earth.

Yup, never heard of it. Galactipedia doesn't seem to recognize the term either, I think that's just because its Turian standard, not SA english

Sure you can. (some also find my name hilariously complex to pronounce, I have no idea why)
