What I did use, I used to get my plates off the Citadel. I ain't doin' anyone no good rotting in the refugee camps. I like to think I'm doin' more use here, for this colony, even if I am merc'in an' even if a few piratical types don't agree.

I'm gonna earn some credits for my daughter and granddaughter and then....

...I dunno, Juhani, I'm startin' to think seriously about turnin' myself in.

I don't know what to think of turning in. They might not let you go anymore...but if there's some sensible person in charge of the court this time (with the casualty rates we had in the war, everything's bound to get rattled around) who knows, maybe they'll let it slide. What do you plan to do if you're released?

Trust me, the stories about the kind of ridiculous stuff that goes on down at their so-called 'headquarters'... :) Anyway though, I hope it turns out well - she clearly has a gift, and I find there's few things so enjoyable as watching someone who's gifted at something enjoy doing it. Good fortune with the second restaurant too, even if it means we don't end up getting the show, it'd be great to see that take off.

Re: parenting roles, sorry, that was unclear of me when I went to read it back - I was just speaking physically, if you follow, mother/father as in who actually carries the child (you did say you were pregnant, didn't you? There's an older asari term that kind of means that which applies to both, but I gather for humans the word doesn't work that way; actually I think something like 'expecting' might be a better translation for the word I'm thinking of anyway, never mind). You know how we are, gender being all fluid and so on. ;)

Speaking of names, I hear 'Daia' is quite well regarded... Nah, I'm kidding. :) (Which is to say, it is a well regarded name - among turians anyway, for asari it's more just 'one of those turian names', there's no strong connotations - but I'm really not going to try to pressure you over the name you choose, that's a big enough decision as it is.)

You're right, not funny, but I forgive you anyway because you're just too much fun. :) If it's okay with you I'll pick your stuff up and keep it at the penthouse - no need to keep paying storage fees (I know they're tiny, but still), and your dresses really ought to be in a proper wardrobe (don't worry, I have spare wardrobe modules, they wouldn't be going in with mine where I'll be tempted to steal them) that stuck in a case.

I miss you already - but I'm glad you got a lead. I know what it's like to be waiting and wondering, and having no path ahead you can start moving down, besides just more waiting.

And hey, you know what - try to enjoy Omega. Be careful of course, but it's not like there's nothing there that's any good. I'm in no hurry to go back, but I'm glad I lived there, glad I experienced the place (the safe parts of it, anyway). Don't pass up the chance to see it for yourself - I know you'll be all business, but keep your eyes open, for the sights as well as for trouble. Fair or ill, there's nowhere else in the galaxy like it.

Well, uh, the answer is no. One of the companies that was funding it ended up being a cerberus shell banking corp that was funneling the proceeds into their sick agendas. And the Wyatt Corp funding is...gone. Because Mom and Dad were taken during the Cerberus attack on the Citadel. I split the last of their funding between my nest egg and my brother's college tuition.

The Pterion is still open, I think. My brother doesn't work there anymore, though, since he went off to college on earth.

I've spoken with Chris and asked her what she could do and she told me to tell you that you two can eat at her place whenever you want on the house, and if you ever need to talk to someone, I'm just a PM away. I know what it's like to lose family.

Yeah. I'm almost done getting something scheduled.

Payment installments will continue as planned, although there may be a brief hiccup at the end of this month while I take out a loan. I'll try to get it out of the way two or three days in advance, so there shouldn't be much of a problem.

1 pound lean tlaxu, sliced
2 medium sur'keshian onions, sliced
1 pound sliced root vegetables, such as Carrots, Turnips, or Radishs
2 tablespoons beef broth
2 cups vegetable broth
Salt, to taste

preferred wine- I use a red

Pour yourself a glass of wine and drink it.
Place the onions and vegetables in a large stock pot, and add the tlaxu and stock on top.
Bring to a simmer over low heat for 30 minutes, stirring well.
When the beef and vegetables look cooked, add the vegetable broth and season.
Bring back to a simmer and serve with wine.
