Hah! Guess we've got enough Salarians out here. Alright, Here's the next one. A man and a woman are driving full blast down the road, driving like crazy. The vehicle breaks down, the man seals the doors and goes ahead to get help. When they get back, the doors are still sealed, but the woman is dead and there's a stranger in the car. What happened? |

A-ha, I think I have this one! (I hope so, otherwise my enthusiasm's going to look pretty embarrassing in hindsight.) The woman was pregnant and about to give birth (hence the rush, to get to a clinic). By the time help had arrived she had, sadly, died during childbirth, and the 'stranger' was the baby. Technically anyway. Unless the father is also asari and pseudo-melded during the later stages of pregnancy... or I suppose any expecting parent could consider themselves 'familiar' with their child-to-be in any case. But by Riddle Logic that's the explanation I'm going with. Yes?

Correct!
I had not considered melding as a thing. We don't do that. Either way your turn. |

Yay! Okay, I actually have one I like prepared this time (Sasha turned it up in her overnight search):
You're zipping along in your aircar on a dark and stormy night in the countryside, when you pass near a remote shuttle station. Three people are taking shelter there: a Matriarch who looks quite unwell and, despite what care the others can provide, will probably take a dangerous turn for the worse if she has to keep waiting until morning when the next shuttle will arrive; a Huntress who once saved your life and who is a dear friend of yours; and a Maiden who is the woman of your dreams (adjust as appropriate for preferred species/gender/whatever). The catch is, there is only room for one other person besides you in your aircar. What do you do? ![]() |

I have no idea what riddle I would use if this is right, but I reckon give the car to the huntress, so she can take the matriarch to the hospital, and I'd get to stay with the 'maiden of my dreams'?

Alright! Well this'n is pretty simple but we'll see who gets it.

Another old human one:
Four men were on a boat on a lake. The boat turns over and all four men sink to the bottom of the lake, yet not a single man got wet. How is this possible? -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Done. |

Were they two dating/bonded couples (or all similarly involved with someone else, not on the boat)? As in, none of them were 'single' men?

That was a lot faster than I expected. Hmm... I'll have to dig deeper next time. You've got it. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Done. |

I got lucky - don't think I ever saw that exact one, but several of the riddles I've been browsing to try to find good ones used similar wordplay, I suppose they put me in the right frame of mind; 'single' leapt right out at me.
Okay, so. The captain of a kelandion (that's a ship) was telling stories. "My crew and I have travelled all the seas and oceans of Thessia, watched lightfalls that made the night sea shine bright as day, whirlpools that could swallow a ship whole, trekked across the great ice lands to the high and low poles, and tacked back and forth across the equator between. Why, one time my navigator stood at the rail on deck looking west, my companion at the opposite rail looking east, yet at the same time they could see one another as clear as crystal!" How is this possible? ![]() |
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Avulsion |
'Cause they were standing with their backs to the rails?
...That better not be the answer. That would be almost as bad as the "single" one. |

In that case, it is almost as bad as the 'single' one. :) Your move.
