Kirok ran down the hallway to the exit, playing interference for the asari like some gun-toting reptilian linebacker. He shot his shotgun into the air - mainly to distract and terrify, not to actually hit anything - and run down a poor salarian security tech who hadn't even deployed his drone by the time Kirok's feet met his face. The tech was lucky his skeleton was mostly cartilage; otherwise, that bootstep in his face would never come out.
Skidding to a stop at the door, the krogan waved at the asari. "C'MON, MOVE MOVE!" he said, covering her as she ran through. "WE GOTTA MAKE DIS FAST! AN' DON'T NONE O' YOU BASTARDS GET ENNY IDEAS ABOUT FOLLOWIN' US, NEITHER!" |

“Y’MAKE IT SOUND LIKE YOU’RE DOIN’ ALL THE WORK!”
When Kirok wasn’t shooting something in her way, Analina was barreling forward like her own glowing freight train of doom. Still dazed from the fall, she was no longer simply charging around. Instead, carrying the datapads under one arm, she used the other to fling lighter obstacles out of the way, wincing as the occasional bullet fragments skimmed in front of her nose. It was only when she saw the most primitive form of security coming into play (that is, a series of gates descending around the entrances with the size and strength of your average battleship bulkhead) when she pulled out the last stops, assuming a rugby tackle-stance and launching forward at the speed of biotics. Little more than a second later, a blue cannonball shattered the windows next to the back door, landing in a heap less than a yard from Shirin. ”…Got’em.” |

"...Right. Good work."
That surprisingly restrained reaction was all they got as Shirin practically dragged the two of them out the back door. All they needed now was the getaway car. |

...a car which was presently descending at a dangerous speed as the driver tried to multitask and very nearly failed disastrously.
Don't text and drive, kids. Fortunately the vehicle leveled out at the last minute, and the side doors popped open to let the rest of the Band in. "Did you get the stuff? Can we please go? There are about five thousand cops on their way here, they figured out they were being hacked and they are not fucking happy about it. C'mon, c'mon, c'mon!" |

“All right, all right, we got it, let’s go!”
Ana dived in… |

...directly onto Shirin's back; the drell had stopped to open the skycar's door for them and launched herself in a second beforehand.
"Gyah! Watch where you're fucking going, and make room for Kirok--" |

"GANGWAAAAAAY."
Five hundred and fifty pounds of armored, well-armed krogan flew through the door, propelled by a powerful momentum that only satellites reaching escape velocity reach. A shadow fell over Shirin and Ana. There was a terrible, unsettling CRASH. |

The ship rocked heavily. It swayed off to one side, drifted…and poked the side of the bank with a slight dink.
Then Ana screamed. |

"fuuuuuuuuuu--"
Shirin did not scream. The weight of an asari and a krogan, combined, had squeezed enough breath out of her to keep an entire forest alive for the next few years. "--uuuuuuuuuuuuuuu--" As such, the enraged imprecation from the bottom of the dogpile in the backseat was really more of a wheezy hiss. "--uuuuuuuuuuuuck." She had not planned for this part. The End |
