I want some really cool battle scars to impress guys though! I mean, look at Vindi, hers didn't even stop her from fighting and she doesn't have to take off her clothes to show them off.

You realize it's not that hard to rig an omni-tool to explode, yeah? I mean, you just sync it with your shield suite so as to maximize the amount of damage that can be soaked at the moment of detonation, while making sure you preprogam the tool to detonate in an explosive, concussive, force (with your shields compensating for the implosive force). Sure, it's no where near as effective as a regular bomb, but it certainly will do in a pinch. Also, trigger is fairly easy. Just set a voice trigger with voice recognition software and a specific never spoken pass phrase and, boom, you have a easy and fast trigger. It's... Really not that hard. |

Don't blow up your omnitool
Especially if it is still attached to your arm |

Dude, I never said it was a particularly good idea, but the people going "DURRRRRR, YOU SHULD BE DED!" have obviously not done their research. Such an improvised explosive is possible to build and use with relative (you know, relative for setting a bomb off that is attached to your body :l) safety.
It's just weird to me that as a game programmer, sometimes I know more about this stuff then people who actually make a living killing people. |

Well to be perfectly honest it's not something I ever bothered to research. Setting off a bomb attached to your arm seemed like something stupid to do. Not to mention as I said I have the flamer app if someone gets too close. (Bonus! The flamer app can be used more than once. Because it doesn't, ya know; explode.) You know what's cooler than scars? A story about how you had a fuckton of guys shooting at you and they couldn't even give you a scratch before you blew their fucking brains out. @Jeral The KB's were either down or absolute balls considering they didn't do shit for heat or concussive force seeing as he blew half his arm off (and by rights should be an extra crispy furball). So it was still fucking stupid. And, for the record, I'm not saying that you can't make an IED out of an OT, just that making one then setting it off on your arm is spiritsdamn retarded because anything strong enough to kill/stun six batty husks going off that close should turn you into a pile of blue meat. Or red depending. (before anybody goes HURR DURR WATTA BOUT TECH ARMOR that shit's completely different in basic function from an OT and about ten times more complex in that area) Now before this gets too focused on Daddy's Littlest N7 (which has also got to be utter xemnashit)over there. Injuries? I've been grazed a few times, actually hit a couple, had a few cracked and bruised ribs (mostly from MA round impacts, yeah you feel it even through hardsuits), one or two broken bones, and been scraped up plenty (fyi concussion grenades are a fucking bitch). So yeah, nothing too out of the ordinary. |

Somehow I managed to avoid the physical trauma during the last year and a half (which, given everything else, I refuse to apologize for), but…
Well, have you ever had your alimentary canal seize up and your trachea shut closed because you ate something you’re allergic to? Yeah. I have. What I remember of it was terrifying. Apparently, by the time the EMT’s anti-inflammatories kicked in, I was a good 20 seconds from dying – all because the waiter switched the damn dishes. I still have to deal with the damned aftereffects. Watch what you order, folks. It could save your life. Either a toss up between being smashed by a krogan battlemaster or having my throat ripped out. Both left plenty of scarring.

Right, you fuckers can compare your battle scars all you want, but I'm just gonna say this.

I got a new suit at 13 and, when they were doing pre-switch integration, they improperly catheterized me. For all the bitching in that painting thread about Quarian culture and heritage, I can tell you that potentially life-threatening UTI's are a uniquely Quarian institution that no other species is ever going to take away from us.
Everything after that has been small fucking potatoes. |

Everything after that has been small fucking potatoes. Second-hand sources have indicated that catheters are, in general, a tremendously painful experience. Archmagus, if you're a sniper and you have a bunch of guys shooting at you, you've done it wrong and picked a shitty hiding place. Unless you were, I dunno, up in a tower whacking a whole squad of guys, that would be awesome, some of them would probably get off a couple shots before you got around to them, and then if you got out of that, you'd be drinking free for weeks. It would be totally sweet. Okay, you have a point.

Well there was time I was stuck on Earth for a year while the Reapers invaded. And I had to constantly balance myself between turning my brain to mush from using my biotics too much and getting gnawed on by husks. I'd also say something about needing to take up way more rations than most to keep my powers going but that's not technically physical.

Miralatriarch Just because I'm likely far older than you doesn't mean I know better. |
I'm torn between childbirth and acute biotic exhaustion.
The former basically entails trying to expel something that's been growing inside you for months through an opening you were convinced couldn't accommodate an object as bulky as a baby daughter, using muscles which don't often get a lot of exercise; the latter, trying desperately to keep yourself going and continue projecting those energies while your body screams in protest, mind clouding as your perceptions and internal systems slowly shut down. I was treated for both, and regret neither - there are few worthier endeavours than giving birth and protecting those one cares for, and both were chosen freely. I no longer bear any visible scars from what I endured... but evidence for my giving birth persists. As one would expect. Prof. Matr.
