Ah, most reassuring. Pleasure to be aboard.

Sup Capt and welcome to CDN. Don't mind Sandy he trends to the more uh caustic side of things pretty frequently. Just a quick rundown of some important stuff if you haven't seen 'em yet (and if you have sorry for slinging links at you):
Rules: basically common sense stuff, still helps to give it a read over. Don't get too worried about getting tripped up early on, bit of a grace period for the new guys. If you ever have questions or need help hit us up in the VL or on Chat and we'll be more than happy to jump in. Being highly ranked/placed enough to personally have access to Cronos Station data is kiiiiinda toing that line though. Just FYI. News Articles/Retrospectives: For board cannon and some stuff that's happened and makes for fun backreading and jumping off points. Aaaand last but not least for getting in touch with other members: the IRC where you can chat with other members, help get ideas set up, and join up with plot arcs. Private Message Accounts for more internal e-mail type stuff. Also you've joined up riiiiiight before the boards are shifting so yeah, that's happening. Always glad to have new people around, welcome to the boards, hope you guys have fun here! Again if you've got any questions or anything feel free to ask. |

Yeah, by a couple of billion miles. Captain John Wagstaff, Systems Alliance CO, SSV Auckland

Thanks for the hints. I'd already looked at the rules, but not those other ones.

![]() ![]() ![]() Liria Hello, fellow poster. Why are you reading this? |
Hello, everyone. I'm Liria T'Remi, but you can call me Liria if you want. I'm an Asari who was born on Earth, and I really don't know a lot about Asari culture. My father was a human marine, and my mother was a commando. I'm on Thessia for a few days, but then I'll be going to Illium.
Signed, Liria T'Remi |

Hello Liria, welcome to CDN.
I do think your brother is posting here too. That wouldn't be Cpt. Wagstaff by chance? Anyway, have fun around here. Hm, is there a reason you never learned thessian or weren't introduced to asari culture? You are still very young though for what you claim you're doing in the Alliance. I didn't know they accepted asari at that age even, wartime regulation maybe? Have a good look around on Thessia, I hope you can learn something and can find the access to your mother's culture you seek. You can always approach me too, if you think the embassies can be of any help. ![]()

Hello and welcome:)
In case you want to read more about asari and especially some of the CDN lore created, for example age wise, you should look at the wiki. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Liria Hello, fellow poster. Why are you reading this? |
To the best of my knowledge, the Alliance usually only has Asari as consultants, but I think I might have been a special case. Most of my education was done on Earth, so my knowledge base started as the same age as Humans. Even then, I only enlisted in the Alliance at 22. My brother is overly protective, so this is the second time either of us have been to Thessia. Not that that's a bad thing, as if I was still on the citadel when the Reapers took it... I don't want to think about it.
I'm mainly going around Armali trying to find out what I can about our culture, as I feel... incomplete, not knowing much about it. I'm the ship at the moment, though. They're still getting a new Omni out of storage. And yes, the captain is my brother. Arina, thank you for the advice. It means a lot to me. Signed, Liria T'Remi |

Hello to the both of you.
My wife works as a consultant for the Alliance military, due to the fact that she's a neurologist with experience with biotics. Though, any citizen can join the military, regardless of species. Hopefully the thought never crosses my daughter's mind. I've already got my niece eyeing off the uniform. First Sergeant Natalie King, 2/4th Marines

Just a quick FYI:
You may want to change the name of the Auckland, as the Auckland was blown up in the Reaper War (it was a very heroic explosion). Otherwise just say it's the rebuilt one if you want that name and to stick to CDN's 'canon'. :) Also 22's pretty young for an asari, as in still a child. Enjoy your stay and be sure to stop by IRC :) |

Posted on 2189-03-23 13:05:45Thanks for the heads up about the Auckland. It's actually a new ship, which was launched about 5 weeks after the end of the war, as a replacment for my last command, which took a direct hit during the battle of Earth.Oh, and about asari aging - I read somewhere (sorry, can't remember where) that Asari initially age similar to how humans do, but after reaching Maiden stage any aging basically stops. So, a 22 year old Asari looks like a 18 year old human, and so on. Just with scalp crests instead of hair. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Greetings and welcome, Captain Wagstaff and Liria both. Captain, you can be assured (you've probably already concluded as much) that there's no connection to Cerberus here beyond the lingering name; if one believes what was claimed they did used to run this place, but Goddess only knows why. There hasn't been much mockery of late, what with their loyal members all being deceased - back when they were around, they tended to make a mockery of themselves quite well with little help from the rest of us. Liria, I hope you gain as much as you hope from your time on Thessia. And enjoy Illium when you get here, it's not completely devoid of culture and tradition (just mostly).
