[IEN Presents] Bliss Festival 2188

This one has seen that the Citadel Entertainment Convention is next month. More people dress up for that than Bliss. How many people will be cosplaying as super-heroines, it wonders?


To quote comedian Etol Chrem, 'That is tourists for you'.

The difference here is that I don't mind seeing those cosplays. They're tasteful, interesting, and look like they had effort put into them. Not only that, but I have run into people on the Citadel who were cosplaying as someone I know from a movie or video game. When the Bliss festival comes around, however, it looks like everyone walked into the nearest sex shop and bought one of everything. I see such classics as

Look, I get that this is a bit of fun and it's not intended to make anyone uncomfortable, but I don't like
a) being trapped in queues to do simple things, like eat a meal or go to a public toilet,
and b) feeling like I walk onto the set of a porn shoot every day.

It is indeed.

One does have to admit that, sometimes, the costumes at the Convention can be, to put it indelicately, fetishistic. And there are reports of some patrons being less than polite. But then it is a clothing thing, which it must admit is still quite alien, even after 5 standard years.


There, it believes, lies the disconnect. For the longest time it did walk onto the set of a porn shoot every day, so seeing such things would be more 'normal' if it lived on Tayseri.

Interestingly enough, a neighbour of this one was looking forward to the festival but had no idea it was on. And this one only lives on Zakera.
