Well, I've never had a run in with a croc because I'm not stupid enough to go swimming in the north but they're quite aggressive and will charge you if you're just standing there minding your own business. Some folks like to capture them alive.

But snakes? Nearly stepped on one when I was seventeen. They're quite timid with small fangs and bite in self-defense but if they scratch you, you're dead unless you get the antidote real quick. They don't tend to strike if you're careful, so one of the first things we learn as kids is what to do. That is: "whatever you do don't run screaming'

They're not intelligent though. Just venomous.


That is a platypus. They're cute, except the males have spurs that contain venom that is designed to inflict as much pain as possible.

I always see all these threads with a bunch of humans going on about how weird their animals are, like, oh man, this place on our homeworld is totally almost like Tuchanka, and they never talk about what's, y'know, actually weird about their world. Like, what are those things called - horses? You never see humans talk about how weird they must be. And they're pretty fucking weird. Like, that sound they make is, like, what the hell. And then I see you people posting pictures of those scaly animals and that platypus thing and it's like, okay. Sure.

You guys don't exactly hold as much of a monopoly on weird animals as you think.
