It has come to my attention that an Alliance officer, Mrs. Sarah Thompson-Waller has been abducted while on leave on Illium.
Of course I follow the situation as it unfolds on CDN but we are of course also in contact with Nos Astra authorities and we received a note through the official channel as well.

We are aware of Mrs. Thompson-Wallers history but right now we consider her to be just a regular Systems Alliance officer.
Abducting or blackmailing of representatives of our allies is viewed with great concern and is not to be tolerated as it sets negative examples.

I understand that the Systems Alliance will want to solve this matter on their own and most likely as silent as possible under the given circumstances.
Of course, Illium is not Republics jurisdiction but we have contacts and resources there. If we can assist with any intel or contacts, please don't hesitate to contact me. I am authorized to keep in contact with you on this matter.

Unless your ship is authorized to conduct independent actions, I'd suggest against that. I've informed Command and I know others have reported it as well so the brass are aware of what's going on. And they will do something about it because they can't let people just kidnap Alliance personnel.

ENCRYMSG to 1stSgt Natalie King Thanks for the advice, Sarge. The Captain may have an itchy trigger finger and a revamped ship, but she's doing this BTB: she's already talking to our flotilla leader. And I am cleared for bridge command, but have only done it three times - I'd be a lousy mutineer.

I'm also wary of any blowback to me - my leave was shortened by a week because I was interrogated over something I found something that might have been Cerberus-related and (later) shared with her.

I'm sure that you've gotten all of the Alliance brass you can following this. I'm doing the same on my end - the more eyes and ears we have out there, the quicker this gets done.

I've gotten involved with some very bad people, Seb.
They threatened me. They told me about you, your friends, Sarah's coworkers.
I don't know what to do and I'm scared. I don't want Sarah to get hurt.
They blackmailed me for a VERY large sum of money and promised they'd leave Sarah alone but they didn't.

I don't know what I was thinking. I don't want to leave Sarah, but I don't know how I can fix this.
I'm such a fool. I've been unable to sleep because of the worry and the regret. I'm on the Citadel drinking myself to death.

I thought getting Sarah away from me would help us but it only made things that much worse.

Hey there Juhani! Yeah, don't be mad at me...I was in the hospital. Final tweaks to the nerves--trying to address the pain issues. What could be integrated into the cybernetics was; the rest, we did what we could to balance minimizing pain with not wholly losing sensation. Not a dangerous surgery, or I'd have let you know. Since you were on tour, though, I didn't want you to worry about me. I'm in recovery now, and messing around on the net again. Feels good to be back.

I've changed my passwords and gotten in touch with my bank accounts and secure locations and they've begun a scrub of any recent activity, with information being forwarded to local authorities. I'm not staying at my old apartment, and I'm going to bug someone I know for a place to stay. Thank you for all of your help, Albert.
