Hey, CDN folks.
Does anyone know of any good therapists or psychologists in Tayseri or near the Presidium?
No reason.

The CMHO might be able to help, they have clinics dotted around the citadel.

They're great, to say the least. They certainly managed to help me out, that's for sure.

I know of a good, discreet, therapist in Edinburgh. That's not exactly far from the Citadel now.

Yeah, hang on, lemme get my list.

...

Dr. Aliyana T'Koryn, Presidium, fifth level, block 600
Dr. Steven Ekrim, Tayseri, Seru District, 32nd level, block 92
Dr. Amanda Taipinne, Tayseri, Vanyic District, 4th level, block 851

Those are the only ones I know of on Tayseri and the Presidium. There's a few others, but I know these guys aren't too overbooked.

Also, I have a bachelors in Psychology, and some licensing as a psychiatric tech. I can't do anything official or on record for ethical and legal reasons, but you can PM me if you need someone to talk to. Just general advice, if you cant afford or don't want to overburden the practices...if you (or whomever you're asking on behalf of) has a serious issue in need of professional attention, contact one of the people on the list first, not me.

I could recommend you my psychologist, Dr. Elena Barton. She specializes in helping people adapt to normal life after experiencig severally traumatic events. I try to see her at least once a month.

I've been talking with her for five years, so I can guarantee her dedication. She works on Zakera though, so I don't know if thats too inconvenient for you or not...

Thank you, everyone. I'm just going through a lot of issues that are rising to the surface as it were.

Thank you all again.

If you frequent a bar and the bartender's not an asshole, talk to them about stuff. They can be pretty good at that sorta thing.

...Though if it's more mind problems and not life getting you down, yeah, talk to a proper doctor.

You might try the Citadel Society of Therapeutic Psychiatrists, since apparently they're still around (not a surprise, all things considered). I was one of them for about six years; they're peer-reviewed with bi-yearly conferences and you have to have actively practiced for two years without any incidents and passed the entry evaluation in order to become a member. So basically, anybody you consult from the CSTP will know what they're doing.

[Their site's still up] so I'd suggest checking the directory for any practitioners local to Tayseri.

You could always come to scenic Invictus! We feature cell-size rooms, gruel for food, and a bunch of staff that spend all day trying to reform you from being an evil, dirty bareface!

Talking, yes. However, if you're looking for the aged wisdom of the old greybeard who spend eternity wiping counters and glasses like in the vids, you are barking up the wrong tree. Most of us will talk, but most do it for better tips - some, however, will give you some decent advice if they have time to focus completely on you, or if you know them well enough, but if not, well, take it with grains of salt.

Doctor_Sornn Currently employed at The New Hope Hospital on Tayseri Ward. Please call for an appointment.
If you require a free therapist, the New Hope Hospital is currently running their psychology students through a trial course. Free treatment, no cost, all you have to do is tell your troubles to an over-eager young student for an hour.

If you seek slightly more professional treatment, I suggest Doctor Edin Fairgood in our MHMR department. She's a recent transplant from earth and is supposed to be a specialist in the field of diagnosing psychological issues and what-not.

Speaking as a bartender: NO. NO NO NO.

Our job's to serve drinks to people, and if pretending to care about your problems (or "listening" over people trying to shout their orders) will get you to buy more without sending you to the hospital or going all Abattoir on everyone, we'll do it. The best help any responsible bartender will give you is "go seek professional help."

I'm not going to go to any bar to solve sensitive issues. Bars are for socializing with friends and drinking, perhaps live music. Not psychotherapy.

That being said, I love your bar. :)

Ooh, been bitching about me to Halley, have you? (Kidding.)

On a more serious note, ignore my plonker of a boyfriend there. As someone who... suffered with issues after the War (hell, didn't we all?), I can tell you a bartender just won't cut it. Not even the ones who actually will play therapist and aren't just dispensing crap for bigger tips. Go check out one of the professionals the other people linked.

Allison 'Dropkick' Drew, at your service. Just not for free any more.
