Fiasco: Shin Akiba

Hey all!

So, I know a lot of you have heard me prattling on in the IRC about a game by the name of Fiasco!. Well, I'm happy to announce I finally have enough players to try my hand at it here on the boards! Thus, I present to you, the first CDN game of Fiasco!

So what is Fiasco? At its heart. Fiasco is a narrative role-playing game all about crime gone horribly wrong. You are going to see drugs, crimes, and the lives of both guilty and innocent alike go down in flames as all their beautiful plans crash down around them.

And what's your role in all of this?

Well, as audience members, you can go here to vote on the outcome of each scene (whether it will end well or poorly for the characters). Not all scenes will be able to be voted upon, but you will be able to see clearly when you can and can't. Also, that link will take you to all the inner workings happening behind the scenes for our game.

Lupine Volt here, and I will be playing Gatalong Branka.

Branka left Tuchanka ages ago, for reasons best left unsaid. Since then, he's worked as one of the galaxy's couriers, slipping things from place to place, with a penchant for keeping these dealings secret from the authorities. Over 60 years he's been in this business, never leaving the security of his ship and making a pretty penny to live on. Until on Investigator, Domitia Alleux, caught on to a recent dealing and nearly sunk him. Branka is on his toes now, as whispers reach him that Domitia has caught scent of another business venture of his.

I shall be playing Falne Hoks, a self-made volus multimillionaire and venture investor.

Falne made her start in one of the top securities firms in Citadel space and was particularly successful at forecasting future opportunities for profitability where nobody else could. After making her first million, Falne 'retired' into angel investment, picking out small entrepreneurs from the crowd and investing money into them and offering key advice to turn them into great successes. Her most recent success, a joint investment with an old co-worker called Gistel, is the Ashland Hotel in Shin Akiba.

After the Reaper War, tourism in the Citadel has been all but eliminated, and the Ashland Hotel has fallen on hard times. But the signs are even worse than they should be under these circumstances...

Mr_Sandman here and I will be playing a one Gistel Dalpan. This high strung, perpetually overworked, and obnoxiously arrogant salarian is the co-owner of the beautiful Ashland Hotel. An establishment which, despite his best efforts and dealings with a one Gatalong Branka for some, ah, less than legal entertainment for his guests, is teetering on the edge of bankruptcy. And to make matters worse, a certain Detective Alleux is closing in, following Branka's trail all the way back to our froggy friend.
