Press release

Lusia - The all-new TS-X is, first and foremost, a driver's skycar which combines the dynamics that have earned the TS a spot on "Skycar and Driver’s" top ten list for the 53rd consecutive year, with luxury seating for four and plenty of luggage capacity, as Veil Star announces.

The TS-X variants will join the lineup this spring, the Lusian skycarmaker said in a statement.

It's offered in two trim levels: society and activity. Typical Veil Star proportions, a maanru-like profile, arching roofline and large tailgate define its distinctive exterior character. A two-phase drivecore with a standard VI will make the TS-X easy to handle at skyway speeds

Front and rear passengers benefit from a seating position that is 1.5 inches higher than the TS, which makes it easier to get in and out of the car.

...what the fuck does that even mean?

I Told You So
Eh, probably an error in the translating bug. There's probably a large section in the original article that says 'marketing mumbo jumbo here,' and the WriteBot just stuck in the most common buzzwords heard around the marketing office that day. It's how they do it where I work. Journalism's a lost cause in the corporate world; why have a living, thinking brain do it when a half-smart VI can take it over with a clever algorithm?

Uhhhh

half might just be giving this shit a bit too much fucking credit I think.

It's all in subtleties.

'Cause a stripper in crotchless leathers just screams "subtle".

Yeah, you've hit it on the head, Archmagus.

They're trying to be subtle in some ways, I think there's a few cues in there (I could swear the posing's familiar from some famous art piece, but I'm embarassed to say I can't remember which one). But everything subtle about the ad's aimed specifically at asari. For everyone else, it's the equivalent of those girls in bikinis at human aircar shows, it's just pandering.

Peaceful life and liking it that way.

It's an ad? It's supposed to address the more primitive instincts, like 'want'. But then, I just see the analogy of 'from Maiden to Matriarch....' here.

I used to work for them and I seriously still don't understand what the design department is payed for.

...who the fuck are they even trying to sell this too? Mean the bloobie in the thong says "yo hot studs buy me" but it's, uh, an asari deal on a blue world and you guys don't like fucking each other (which how in all the hells does that work out) sooooo

yeah?

I used to work for them and I seriously still don't understand what the design department is payed for.

Putting tits on shit an then polishing said shit until they can sell it.

They are just built there but sold everywhere? I guess you are famailiar with such a concept.

and you guys don't like fucking each other
What? uh... no. You got the wrong turn there somewhere.

(which how in all the hells does that work out)
An asari fucking an asari? There is this thing called the extranet. It is full of vids.

Uhhhh, yeah? But it's a fucking pain to ship anything farther than you have to (trust me I had to fucking slowboat to Tshombesha) an unless extrapedia's dicking me over again Lusia's core asari. Plus, like, shit built by one race tends to be for one race.

Armax doesn't make a whole lot of human shit.

What? uh... no. You got the wrong turn there somewhere.

...so you guys really don't mind if I just, you know, call you all purebloods? 'Cause the last asari I saw call another asari that got the shit slapped out of her. An 'cause unless you all are desperately humping everything that's not blue most of you are.

An asari fucking an asari? There is this thing called the extranet. It is full of vids.

...wha-

oh right.

You're one of the dumb ones.

So like, what I was saying/asking was: if you really don't like getting little blue babies on each other and for most of the time you guys were/are around there was/is nothing but other blues to get said babies on

uh how do you even get by?

...this raises a couple really fucking nasty questions 'bout you guys and your ocean-xemna.

Well someone's got to answer, or he'll just keep wondering... The taboo against intraspecies reproduction is (I'd have thought obviously) a recent phenomenon - well, 'recent' as asari measure such things, bear in mind it's not that many of our generations since first contact. Pre-salarians it was simply the way things were that asari reproduced with one another, and nobody gave any thought to it; in fact, the most relevant belief back then was that it was quite silly of the more 'fantastical' speculative fiction authors to propose that asari and aliens would be able to meld on the sapient level at all, let alone reproduce that way. Finding out we were in error there was quite the cultural shock.

(And to clear up the other source of confusion, only the most zealously socially-conservative asari extend that taboo to sexuality in general.)

Miralatriarch Just because I'm likely far older than you doesn't mean I know better.
Not to mention we've centuries available to us in which to procreate. It's difficult not to find a member of another species suitable (and willing) to father one's daughters, if you're looking.

Not that there's anything wrong with two asari having children together. Like any sort of discrimination based on something beyond one's control, it's antiquated and idiotic.

It's not working.

It is most appreciated and noted that you take up such a stance, Lady Matriarch.

Starchaser
Skycar and Driver put this on the top ten? They spent this whole article talking about the fucking "archline" and "1.5 inches" and shit, with only one sentence about the car's engine. Two-phase drivecore is done to death (not because it's exceptionally good, because it's incredibly average), and there's not a car in the current market operating without a VI. This is just a car that looks good, and you can get a Terminus knock-off for a cheaper price if that's all you want.

You want a real car, you buy the new Storm C5. It has thrusters that do more than just take off - cars today seem to just enhance the eezo core, not even thinking about the thrusters.

I don't think it's just the car they're talking about here.
