Brainbug Omnitools Release to Less-Than-Stellar Sales
Despite massive hype and excellent critical reviews, New Delhi Enterprises newest line of civilian omnitools (The Brainbug I-III) has released to less-than-stellar sales. Where industry specialists and New Delhi were predicting sales well above 2.3 billion in the opening weekend, the line has barely breached 1.6 billion a week after release. The cause of this disappointment is not yet agreed upon. Some economists are claiming that its near-three thousand credit price is to blame, while others are claiming a variety of other causes from the mundane to the truly unbelievable. Kravnan Thur, CEO of Messiah Omniplex, a rival to New Delhi Enterprises, has claimed divine intervention is the cause of the Brainbug's crippling sales figures in a rant that has already gone viral across the Nemean Abyss and Omega Nebula. I will go ahead and bluntly say I am taking just a teensy little bit of pleasure in seeing this happen.

This one will consult the batarian and volus records at its next opportunity! "I was blind, and I cannot say I had eyes to see the truth. I was a fool, and I cannot say I had sense to know the truth. I was lost, and I cannot say I could have found the truth. In the darkness, truth found me." |

I'm not buying something named 'brainbug' because it gives me mental images of some terrible insect that likes to burrow into your skull and eat your brain.
Probably just me though |

Probably just me though As if the price tag wasn't warning enough? I mean there is no way they'd spend 3000 making a civilian omnitool, even factoring in profit margins. They must be paying for the bugs' upkeep and expenses and all that. Keeping mind-controlling insects is expensive, you know. C-Sec mail [here], personal [here], FEMES [here]. Is that all? Can I go? |

Probably just me though you and job maybe. that image is something from the guts of omega. i'd also say the name doesn't enhance their sales. that and the price. |

I will point out that the Brainbug does offer a lot, and is probably the most comprehensive OT series not developed in the Republics. It's a good system and I really do love the OS they designed. And I'm saying this as a potential competitor. It's ambitious and really does a lot for the civilian field, but I will honestly say that for its price point it is not something to go blow several paychecks on over. That's what Serrice Council Custom tools are for.
I will also say that Petrarch will be 1/2 the price of the Brainbug tool at release. This is not an attempt at advertising at all. On topic, though, I would never pay three thousand credits for an omnitool. I bought some POS for, like, 150 credits from some shady guy, and that thing worked alright, as long as I didn't do anything too, y'know, mediocre for an omnitool. I have two OTs, if anyone was wondering. One for home. Ain't nothin' can stop the Titus-Train!

Can I link threads from the old boards over here, or are they canonically lost due to the timeskip, and stuff?
