Apartment

Hey, guys and gals and all in between, I've been at a bit of a crossroads with my life. Chris and I seem to be parting for our separate ways, even with our son due in early September and the dozens of times I've tried to patch things up ( she's a ghost most of the time ) and bullshit with her fucking lawyer ( who has become ever present with his calls and high hairline ).

She told me she was sorry, that she loved me and she couldn't find the strength to continue with what had happened. She told me a lot about how she had been duped by bad sorts, how she learned about every little thing I'd been involved with and the numerous lies I told her to try to keep her out of that side of my life.
She knew my previous affiliation. She thought I was Alliance, that Cerberus had simply gone rogue; when her family died she tried not to blame me.
She had every right. If we'd never met, her family would be alive. If I had accepted Integration, her family would be alive. If I had simply laid low, her family would be alive.

She told me she wanted out of intrigue one way or another.

We loved one another for over ten years. She had passion, she was gorgeous and she didn't care I lived in a poor district.
And now we're alone, with her wanting half custody. Legal matters being what they are I can't discuss much, but I'm looking for an apartment, with room for at least one child.

Is there going to be any risk of attack by, er, Cerberus or anti-Cerberus or neo-Cerberus or whatever?

Because I do have room. And it would be nice to have someone with combat training around, you know? What with how unstable things are.

Look, I'd rather not get involved with the craziness, but I do know what it's like to leave your past life behind. To be estranged. I can - Daughter's Eyes, I don't believe this - I can share space.

I mean, a female with ready-to-hatch offspring, you really can't be left to your own devices.

I understand if this would be too much of an effort, but I do have a spare property. It's a one story house (bungalow) about three blocks from my apartment. I picked it up when the financial crisis ruin the planet imminently after the war: great buy but I never use it.

It is, however, on Elysium. If this is too much of a move, I understand, but I'd be willing to sort you out easy passage on a ship (I co-own a space exploration company and it would be easy to fix you a place on one of the smaller, spare ones.

Offer's there if you want it. Humans should stand beside their fellow humans, y'know?

Phraag, I'm definitely considering your offer. I've never really lived with an alien before, but i suppose now is as good as any time to start.
However, I'm very pregnant, and I'm worried about that causing a disruption in your life. I am also dealing with some group out to get me that managed to fuck me over with my personal life and isn't above doing the same with others.

I do have military training, but I'm pretty stick-thin right now; if push came to shove its best not to fight. I would be willing to pay my way and help you in many ways, such as utilities, being a friend, rent and other activities. I'm not sure how things are going right now, I'm refusing to sign the papers and I'm in the process of hiring legal defense.

My place has a spare bedroom and between teaching and expeditions the apartment is actually empty a depressing amount of time. You would be more than welcome to have use of it. As for a child disrupting me, my room has thick walls and sturdy lock so I can avoid any direct trouble. Plus I've been giving away or moving my artifacts off site so the delicate pieces won't be at risk. Apparently my office at the University now looks like an insane storage room since I haven't unpacked the crates.
