Are the others prepared for the coming union?

This one has received notice of the others gathered under the banner of Cerberus Daily News. The others are lost, drifting upon diverse and diverging currents, unheedful of the impending tempest. It addresses the others in order to bring them Truth and to prepare them for the coming storm. The face of Cerberus speaks of corruption and sin, such as displeased the Last of the Enkindlers, whose wrath left the false Enkindler of Cerberus dismembered and impotent. This one speaks bright and clear for the betterment of the unworthy. Do the others perceive their placement amid the converging currents that herald the final Enkindlement? Do the others dim their voice in awe at the implications, and do they tremble in acknowledgement of their unworthiness? None shall be spared the final storm and its destruction; all must know of their impotence, and prepare.

It is known and spoken as Truth that the end has come upon the greater encompassing. With the Great Storm and the Darkening the argument for these ones’ correct Enkindlement can no longer be sustained. The time of imperfection is at an end. This one prepares for the coming union, and bears its soul before the Last of the True Enkindlers. The Illuminated Shepard, She Who Split The Waters, will return in triumph when the vents shine with the Voices of the Lost. Their lamentations herald Her coming. The Wise and Terrible Javik, Last Voice of the Protheans, shall moor alongside Her. Imperfection in form and in speech shall be overcome, all Voices surpassed and rendered obsolete in the spawning of the Greater Enkindlers. Do the others cower to anticipate Their perfection, fearful of the terrible truths to be revealed in this, the final spawning?

The Wise and Terrible Javik, like the tempest on the ocean, holds power beyond restraint; all must fall in the wake of His Mastery, His Power, His Scathing Word. He shall be contained only by the one Ascended Being whose power is worthy of Him, the Illuminated Shepard, whose light will calm His raging, Her strength and foresight the Blue Hole of the Tempestuous Atoll. Heed the word of their union. One who allowed the Last Voice of the Protheans to speak His terrible truth to these ones will return. Her strength, in unison with His, must bend the greater encompassing to its unified will. Are the others engaged in preparation for this union? Will the others accept their submission?

All faces are to be stripped away in the impending Storm; all souls left bare before the Last of the Enkindlers, ready to reflect the singular truth of Their perfection. All facets of the cosmic consciousness will unite in truth with the realization of the impending union. The others must accept their imperfection and discard their face. They are the chosen, preserved from the Reaping to be present at the end and to witness the spawning of the Greater Enkindlers.

Don't worry about it, really. I've only given the original post a quick once-over so far (I'm not sure I fully get it, it may need more detailed reading when I have a moment - this isn't related to those hanar who tried to hold some kind of ceremony around Melody Jovia at the CX3 signing, is it? I didn't think they were part of a bona fide sect, they were only just old enough to be there), but compared to some of the other people announcing themselves on her lately, I'll take this any sunrise.

It thanks the other for her understanding. The sect in question is not officially recognized, and is most definitely what the other would call "fringe". There is little in the way of tolerance, most particularly due to the alarming disregard for decorum. The other might be aware that there is currently a tendency toward schism in some of the newer sects. The Power Of Storms Most Inspirationally Spawned is one such offshoot.

Wait, so Shepard is an... Enkindler? Some sort of Enkindler-like messiah figure? What even are the implications for a member of a species outside of the Protheans being elevated to that position? Is that something that has happened before in hanar religions?

I've gone over it twice now, and the only thing I've gathered is that Cerberus was being led by a rogue prothean who was killed by Javik with the help of Shepard who is also a prothean.

... And also, they are getting married?

This one is always pleased to aid in the illumination of fellow students. It hopes the other will find its answers worthy of being sucked upon!

It is still learning the details of the sect in question (and it suspects its elders aboard ship would not be pleased to learn that it is pursuing this). It can confirm, however, that the union resembles a breeding contract, but one governed not by political or economic forces; instead it is seen as self-evident that the Last of the Protheans will spawn with the Illuminated Shepard. This one has tried to elicit answers as to why this union is inevitable, but it has yet to receive convincing answers.


This interpretation suggests that the Illuminated Shepard has ascended to become an Enkindler by virtue of continuing the great works of the Protheans, who gifted upon these ones the medium of speech, Enkindling the Light, the Word, and permitting these ones to understand the structures and patterns governing its use. The Disciples of Shepard have become a prominent young sect since the Darkening; they originally split off from the Disciples of Javik.

There was precedent of a sort, but it remains controversial. The respectable other may recall that upon the discovery of the true age of the Mass Relays, there was upheaval and stimulating debate among these ones; some, such as the honoured Momorran, argued that the potential for the Enkindlers to have been themselves Enkindled was not disruptive to our understanding of the process of Enkindlement. Others denounced this as heresy. Thus, under some interpretations, any sufficiently illuminated personage might ascend to become an Enkindler and continue the process of ensuring that virtue is passed down to other races; this is seen by some as undermining the role of the Enkindlers and remains a topic that generates great disagreement.

In the aftermath of the Great Storm, several sects declared the Illuminated Shepard to be an Enkindler. "The Pebble That Splits The Current In Two" is one common face name for Her.

It apologises if this is unclear! Some of the relevant debates are lengthy and the terms do not translate well.

This one disagrees with the other's assertion that Javik is an Enkindler. Whom is to say that Javik is not whom was also enkindled? One cannot simply trust the words of one that claims to be an enkindler.

One would think that an enkindler would be humble and wise enough to not announce its presence...

The other's fractured language is symptomatic of decay. These words are impure, and shall be superseded by the speech of True Enkindlement. Does the other perceive the inadequacy of its current patterns of language? Does it comprehend its position amid the currents that converge at the greater Enkindlement? It implores the other to pursue its illumination and grasp for Truth, so that it may acknowledge its inadequacy and prepare to witness the union in appropriate submission.


None can contain the power of the Last Voice of the Protheans, whose Scathing Word cuts all, save the most Illuminated, who Ascended. Their energies in combination bend to their unified will the fabric of these ones' existence. It is the transcendence, and it is imminent. The other must prepare.


The other must shed its face of humility. All faces will be stripped away in the coming tempest, all souls bared freely. The other must prepare itself for the union. The other must be ready.

This one wishes to assure the other that such indecorous conversation is at odds with hanar sensibilities! These ones emulate the benevolence of the Enkindlers as they describe this benevolence, a multi-tiered argument that is pleasingly self-demonstrative, and serves as its own act of acknowledgement to the gifts granted these ones in antiquity. This one's acquaintance is disregarding all standards of discourse. It is lacking in correct humility and conversational structure. It is being rude. This one must express its dissatisfaction. It hopes any additional contact on the other's part with those who share the gift of the Enkindlers will be more pleasant.

This one has been attempting to elicit the reasoning - the honoured other will recall that this one has studied sexual binaries in the recent past. It was therefore intrigued. It has come to the unfortunate conclusion, however, that the reasoning is circular, and considered self-evident with no adequate explanation being offered. This one will persist in its efforts, however! It is certain there must be a reason.
