[Citadel] Deadly Shootout at Nightclub

Authorities responded to a deadly shootout in the Silver Star Club earlier this morning, a shootout that left four individuals dead and critically wounded 17 others.

"It was a nightmare," one survivor, who wished to remain anonymous, told reporters. "They came in and started shooting - they didn't even ask for anything."

According to archived security footage, a hooded individual rushed into club in an apparent attempt to flee the four gunmen, which apparently sparked the altercation inside the Silver Star. Eyewitness reported that gunmen entered the establishment and drew their weapons with blatant disregard to the bystanders. One the gunmen was reportedly killed by the building security, while the other three attempting to flee when C-Sec arrived, resulting in a brief standoff that killed the remaining gunmen. Citadel authorities refuse to provide comments at this time, but a statement was released earlier this day, promising that "an investigation is ongoing."

So where did they get the guns?

A shootout on the Citadel?! Isn't that Wandering Warror's club? Sad tragedy, I hope he is okay.
But is C-Sec focusing too much on drugs these days and neglecting gun control? I would not be surprised if there's an overload of "legalized" guns on the Citadel and not everyone may be stored safe enough. That's a wake up call!

From what I saw gangers tend to print their own low quality guns from omni gel. The real trouble from them is to acquire heat sinks, so they usually just print old school self cooling guns.
The end product is slow to use, clumsy and couldn't breach a modern shield, but still damn deadly against unprotected civilians...

Shit just keeps getting worse here by the day, and we can just sit here and wait for the next shooting.

I wonder what this is about! The article only mentions the killing of the gunmen (identities???) but not if the fugitive they were after got caught or not. What brings four people to such an action and even makes them engage in a firefight with C-Sec? You must be suicidal to attempt that.

So what was the start of all this I wonder? Who was the runner and why had they inspired attempted murder? Lot's of trouble in this. Also did anyone else notice that absolutely no identifying features were given for anyone involved?

This one is assuming that this was not some random spree shooting or a fanciful attempt at suicide (if that was the case this one assumes they would have held their ground). So this one believes that those scenarios can be ruled out.

Of course this one is no expert on these matters.

Well, it's not like there's a part of the Citadel called "Little Omega" or anything these days. I'm sure someone found a way.

The Citadel isn't nearly as secure as C-Sec wants it to be. Hardly a rare occurrence, saddening nonetheless. Though it has gotten better recently; remember back in 2183, the scanners then? Virtually nonexistent. They can at least detect heavy weapons now, which is a start.

Back then though, there were barely as many criminals on the station so...

There is no such thing as an infallible and incorruptible police force. C-sec may be above your average terran police force, but individual members are still vulnerable to bribes and threats.

Even so Humble Hanar, someone this brazen will gain all sorts of attention. These fools seem to have a death wish...

Though it doubts it was their intention to be killed by c-sec. But intelligence is such a rare commodity in this galaxy.
