Are there any legends or stories about ghost ships in space, as in supernatural space ships? Something like Earth's Flying Dutchman, a legendary sailing ship said to be the worst possible omen for those who encounter it and to have a crew cursed to sail the oceans forever with out ever returning to port.

Oh, ha ha.
Still on Lorek?

Besides, it could be the one currently on [REDACTED], or it could be the one that went out with a bang during the Reaper War.

There's an entire fleet of ghost ships floating around somewhere, the Fleet-in-Exile. My own personal bet and hope is that there is some system in some forgotten part of the galaxy filled with the wrecks of those traitorous cowards.

But if you want stories, there's the Nelaime. Goes all the way back to the first few decades of the Exodus. The stories always differ. Some have it that it was just the Captain that got exiled, and he proceeded to hijack his own ship and make his escape that way. Some have it all the officers alongside him were exiled as well, and its how he did the deed. The more outlandish stories have it as an entire ship of traitors, all complicit, all fleeing the true justice of the Fleet. What the Captain's crime or theirs was, always changes. A deal was made with pirates to let them slip past towards the more vulnerable ships of the Fleet. They accepted a bribe from the batarians to allow one of their classic raids to occur. The more sympathetic say they were scapegoats of the Admiralty Board for a massive blunder, but the only ones that believe that are damned exiles looking for pity. But that's the nature of such tales, the details always change but the core remains the same: they allowed, willingly or through negligence, a great calamity to strike the Fleet. And thus they were cast out.

For whatever reason, the Nelaime is said to have shadowed the Fleet after that. A faint echo on the scans, too far out to get a good read, but always just there. Following. Waiting. Even long after the Captain and crew would have been dead, you'd get the usual superstitious fear-mongering. That just before any kind of pirate raid, or attack by some new Terminus warlord looking to make an idiotic name of themselves, or any kind of setback faced by the Fleet, those at the tail-end of the Fleet would see it bright on their scans: the damned exiles of the Nelaime, coming once again to bring chaos to the Fleet.

"And the future's a tunnel stretching endlessly into nothing, stumbling in the black. And the light at the end is but a treachery, it will blind you and force you back."

What about the shattered remains of you fleet littering the Perseus Veil. Or do those not technically count as ships anymore?

There are many legends of actual ocean fairing yakshi ships and submarines on Thessia as well.
But since space faring is the question I remember one very vividly I read about in a holo book about astonishing stories when I was young. It is said to be one of the very first experimental FTL ships sent out into the Nebula. It was called the “Shadow of Nefrati”), built mostly in secrecy by a scientist who had claimed to have found a breakthrough in all technology. Her ideas had been dismissed but she pulled all her resources into proving she was right so she built the ship and went to that journey towards a far away star. When the drive was switched on, strange effects happened and the ship dissapeared into FTL forever!

It is said that it’s eternally trapped in a multiverse FTL tunnel, doomed to travel there for all eternity. Sometimes, when the ship on its eternal ride crosses gravitational anomalies, it can happen that the veil is shortly broken and it partially overlaps with our universe again. Then on FTL channels the doomed cries and howling of the crew and the scientist Captain can be heard! It is said they are oscillating between what can be called hell and our universe, witnessing constant horror of unimaginable sort (that’s the movie version…) .

There are some weirdos, scanning FTL radio to catch these transmissions and putting “cleaned” versions on the extranet. They hear all kinds of stuff in what to me is just some white noise.

Anyway, that’s the doomed vessel “Shadow of Nefrati”. Of course no plans or schematics for this FTL drive ever were found, they were all destroyed by the scientist.

Well.... Theres always the Arhken'Anla. It was one of the first ships givin to the Krogan after the uplifting. The captain was Warlord Jortun. He and his "crew" of warriors strong-armed their way into command of it without knowing jack shit about piloting the damn thing, They made it out of system, managed a jump into The Shadow Sea, but coming out of FTL, the helmsman landed them in the middle of an astroid belt and they were pulverized. The Arhken'Anla was found, mostly intact, but so riddled with holes it could pass for a [Translation Error: Did you mean "net?"]. The whole crew died from exposure when the rocks hit. The Salarians left it there and there it sits, locked in orbit with the astroids, the whole crew still inside. It's said that all who have tried to salvage it were savaged by the spirits of the Krogan trapped in it, souls longing to return to the void.

Might be worth a poke-around, if thats what your lookin for.
