Howdy Potential Voters!

My name is Max Vallario and I'm running for the Citadel Assembly to represent district 69B in Tayseri Ward. And I'm doing it to fight for YOU and everything that you believe in!*

Though initially my campaign manager believed that going on an extranet site bearing the name of a known human terrorist group wasn't the best of ideas, I've never been one to heed the conventional wisdom of the "establishment". Throughout my career I've always been a Maverick who's defied common sentiment to reach out to YOU the people. And after giving this site a closer look, I've found out it's host to a number of potential swing voters wholesome, hardworking citizens of the Citadel.

And so, for the last week until the ward elections here on the Citadel, I've decide to take my campaign here, to this message board, and to reach out to YOU the citizens, who I soon hope will be my employers as I serve this great ward and great station. Together, we can make a brighter tomorrow and a bold future for the Citadel!

That is an excellent question citizen. Questions like that need to be asked, but so many in the current establishment are content to simply sit around, twiddle their thumbs, and keep the status quo in place. But as an ambitious Maverick, I will make sure- if elected -to start asking questions like that and by the spirits GET, THINGS, DONE!

Hey pal, how about legalizing drugs on the Citadel?

That's because most stuff they "say" during a campaing is done by their campaing management, it is basicly advertisement. By putting the "I approve this message" thing they give the advertisement credibility and on the filp-side, if the content breaks laws like e.g. using Nazi symbols in former Germany or inciting violance they can be held accountable.
I have worked on a few of those in the past and (a minor) part of the job was to advise those in charge of public relation what is allowed and what not.

Now, it's a question like that which really brings to mind the stalemate and the contention which is crippling our political system today. Too often, politicians are content to simply tow their party line and just sling partisan mud at each other. Well as a Maverick I'm going to break through all that partisan deadlock, and work to create a system where we can actually discuss the tough questions like YOU just asked!

And people think I'm being overly cynical when I say the Legislative branch is out of their collective minds.

It was a 'vote for me'.

Now, Mister Maverick, who are your opponents in this election, and why should we vote for you over them?

When I'm asked about my opponents, it's hard for me to even distinguish them because they all seem to blend together! They all form the status quo mob of entrenched political figures who keep the system plodding along for their own benefit. That's why you need a bold, new face like me; a Maverick who will stand out in the crowd and ask the tough questions and make the tough decisions. I'll break us out of this post-war slump we're in, and get us moving to a new and better tomorrow!

I'm just saying, think about the revenue you'd generate. Plus all the new small businesses that would open up overnight. Crime would be reduced by tenfold. New trade would open from the terminus. New trade is new jobs. More jobs means a more secure seat. All I'm saying is a legislator in favor of legalization is a legislator in favor of the people.

So you can't comment on whether you're for the people? That sounds dodgy to me. Maybe it means you're against the people. Maybe you have a mild case of the indoctrination.
