Nova was your typical low class bar on the Citadel, it was dirty, populated with scantily clad Asari dancers, stoic Krogan and Batarians refugees, and the whole place glowed a muddy red due to the garish neon lights. Lara sat at the bar, a empty glass beside her, waiting anxiously for the Asari she met on CDN. "What was I thinking", She thought. Unlike many people in the bar, Lara was washed and well-groomed and her clothes, though simple and cheap, were clean and unworn. Her blonde hair, which had been long and untamed before the war, was now short and combed. No matter what, Lara did not want to look like a slob. If you looked closer though, you could tell she had not had a lot of sleep recently: her eyes were bloodshot and baggy, she hunched over, and she was slightly off-balance.
Lara briefly wondered if the Asari asked to meet her for... sexual reasons. "No, Lara, don't be stupid!" Lara thought to herself, " Asari don't want to have sex 'ith every random person they meet." Lara waved to the Volus bartender, " Another glass of Elysian Whiskey over here please." The Volus turned toward her, nodded, and poured her drink. |

Laniya had chosen a rather simple attire for the occasion, neither overly revealing or flashy, having actually been to the bar on a couple of occasions and realizing a good outfit would go rather wasted and out of place there. She headed in with an attitude of curiosity, and quickly found who she was looking for.
She sat down next to the human and nodded to her, putting an order in for a Hanar Supernova and looking over to Lara again. "Laniya. Pleased to meet you. So, stuck on the Citadel with nowhere to really go I see?" |

Nearby, another woman was dancing the night away, content to undulate with the beat of the music. For once, she wore nothing that announced her affection for romantic piracy, but there certainly were no complaints from the dance floor, if the eyes following her around were any indication.
A moment later, her forehead shiny with perspiration, the young woman sauntered over to the bar. |
