The Short History of Clan Talyth, from the beginning to now.

For Talyth Teccam, he slew the thresher maw
For Talyth Iordam, who blew the wall
For Talyth Dordan, the greatest of us all.

The last three verses of the Edema that every Talyth knows. The Edema is a war song authored by this clan long before the year when the accursed salarians showed up on the planet of our birth in the system centered around the Eye of Wrath. These three individuals are the most important in the history of the clan.

Talyth Dordan was the founder of the clan, a krogan steeped in mythology now. How long he lived or is uncertain along with much of his life but one thing is certain and no krogan can dispute it. Talyth Dordan has the honor of being one of the few krogan to unite majority of the the planet of Tuchanka together under one banner, even if only for a short span of three years. Personal items of his are considered amongst the premier artifacts of the planet and most of them belong to asari collectors now. It is unlikely they will be recovered from these collectors anytime soon.

Talyth Iordam is a tale that every Talyth knows. He was the one who rampaged across four rachni infested planets, saving hundreds of his brothers from terrible deaths at the hands of those insects. But, this is not what he is best know for. He is best known for blowing up the wall. Which wall outsiders might ask and the only answer is to go find it. The wall in question has never been revealed to an outsider but given that he has the second to last line in the Edema, it was obviously quite important.

Talyth Teccam, a krogan born in the tumultuous times of the Rachni Wars. With regards to outsiders he is best remembered for the fight that he gave the turian hierarchy at Menae, the same fight in which he died when a cruiser fell on him. The clan however remembers him best for the slaying of a thresher maw that was stalking the clan for months on end, eating any stray krogan of the clan that it could find. There are those who are remembering him due to the books on philosophy that he published a decade before the rebellions started. His books would have likely been lost to time where not for an asari finding a copy of one in the year 1238.

The clan has had a checkered history since Teccam. The remnants of it on Tuchanka has allied itself with both Weyrloc and Urdnot depending on the time while the majority of the clan fled to the Terminus systems and eventually set up shop in the Nemean Abyss following the release of the Genophage. Little changed following that, as the clan on Tuchanka followed the cycle most clans did, rising up and being put down by fellow krogan or CDEM. The most recent offense was in 2185 with an attempted construction of a dreadnought. The portion of the clan in the Nemean Abyss was highly active, expanding to form a small nation with it's head body designated as the Chand, a group that is now for the first time ever completely wiped out. Actions of the Chand can be found further on.

At the moment, the clan on Tuchanka is non existent owing to a call put out by Talyth Vakor, the current head of the Taneli Protectorate. Following his command, the clan of Talyth has been completely relocated to the Nemean Abyss in the year following the end of the Reaper War. Rumors circulate amongst those who circulate such things that this was part of an agreement with the Urdnot coalition in exchange for the genophage cure but given the current conservative status of the clan this is unlikely.

At the moment due to the death of Talyth Vakor along with the next five in line, the clan is in a bit of turmoil as debates rage over who should take over governing now. The two most popular possibilities are Talyth Deordum, one who noticably wants to ally with the Urdnots and indeed has more support, while the other is Talyth Macul, a staunch conservative who wants to keep things as they currently are.

On the Move.
