A video displays, we can see a small colony surrounded by a tropical forest. Everything seems drowned, and yet the building are above water. Automatic bridges link that modern day Venice, and Salarians can be seen walking around and sailing small boats, under heavy rain. A Batarian female voice starts talking.

- This is Garona Hulu talking for Terminews. I'm bringing you now the strange tale of a small colony in the terminus. You wouldn't believe by seeing that now, but that small city almost drowned. With us now, the colony mayor, who insisted on staying anonymous.

A Salarian appears. His appearance is blurred, his voice slightly modified.

- Hu yeah, hi. So our city was always in danger of flood every year, so each building is built on hydraulics that keep it afloat and adapt to the river level. Many towns on Sur'Kesh are like that, and the natural resources around makes it worth it.
It was great and dandy until the reapers came by and bombed us from orbit. We escaped but our houses were gone, and we were a month away of rain season, and flood.

- You had to evacuate right?

- Sure, but we're not rich! Not many ships survived, not many places to leave around here. The exodus was... costly in life. We rebuilt, without hydraulics because of tight budget, but one year later, same problem arised. We needed those hydraulics fast.

- And the rebuilding was expensive wasn't it?

- Sure! Out of our price range! Couldn't do it ourselves, not the means! We were this close to abandoning the colony, not sure all of us would have made it.

- And that's when Slaves4Us, a terminus company that sells and use slaves, made you an offer right?

The mayor visibly winces at the name of the company.

- Yeah... Their price were low. Low enough for us. We were desperate, so I called them. Was a secret at first, their ads in the Terminus are loud, but when here they were very discreet. Fake company name. Sl... Employees in full suits, quarian like. No whip or shock collar. Very professional.

- And yet it almost failed didn't it?

- Yeah, rain season came a month early. May have been caused by reaper bombardments last year. Screwed up the planet a little. BUt they kept working under the rain. Even brought special material, and they finished.

- And your citizens found out about their benefactors?

- Yeah... Was an uproar at first but... We owed them everything! Saved our asses! I just wish-

- Who would have thought? A slaving company saved that colony, and now they're entering a mutually beneficial partnership through the Slaves4Us Convict Outreach Program : Every criminal from the colony will be taken in charge and put to work by Slaves4Us for the duration of their sentence, at little to no cost for the colony! It's a new chance for those civilians to build a new life after the Reaper War. It goes to show, help can come from anywhere, and anyone... Gorona Hulu, back to you Goronak!

See? It worked! I followed Samuel and Corona's advises, bought those Triton ADS and had some Heron drones made. Those exceeded the budget, especially the ADSs, but I worked some number magic, convinced the board that they would be a great investment for other aquatic/tropical jobs, and we got them in time!

Now those nice people have their home back at last, and many terminus colonies have heard good things about us and are requesting our services! Some of them don't even use the "discreet" option! And to be honest that PR success is kind of good for my carrer ;;)

So guys, in the name of those colonists and Slaves4Us, thank you!

I'm afraid that would not be a good idea. Keep in mind some of them are convicts working out their sentence and learning a trade instead of counting days and learning crime in a jail. Others were so lost in life they came to us voluntarily to get guidance, a roof and a regular meal.

All of them are helping colonies like this one rebuild. We have much work to do.
