Hello, my name is William Stockwell, I work at the Systems Alliance Embassy for Envoy Adreani but I come to you not as a Systems Alliance employee but as a concerned citizen and human, to ask you my fellow citizens; have you done your part?

It is true it has been over a year since the end of the Reaper wars, but there is so much still to do and we all need to work together to make humanities future a bright one. So here some helpful suggestions in how to help your species reach its full promise.

1. Join the Systems Alliance, we are always looking for skilled and dedicated people both in combat roles and support rolls. The Systems Alliance offers good working conditions, decent pay, multiple perks and a large array of advancement opportunities.
2. Stay Alert, while the war and combat operations are over we should all stay alert and report any suspicious activity. The criminal element could use our current weakened state to further their bid for self-enrichment. The Systems Alliance is there to protect you, but we need your help in finding problems early.
3. If you live in a green zone, you should really consider expanding your family if you have the means to support it. Either by adoption of one of the many war-orphans or by natural means. The Systems Alliance will offer financial support for those that choose to expand the human family.
4. Follow lawful instructions by Systems Alliance personnel, your safety and the safety of others could depend on it. The Systems Alliance personnel are dedicated to your wellbeing, if they request you to do something it is for a good reason.

You guys are getting all knee-jerk over some standard Alliance post-war expansion info. Every government does this. "Things need to return to normal, please make sure normal is the way we're comfortable with." Distasteful, but it's nothing to freak out over or get indignant about. Well, I like to think I've got a few more IQ points than the average extranet poster; I'm just glad someone else noticed it.

But yeah, this stuff isn't anything to worry about. Now, when it starts becoming mandatory, or when travel routes become restricted or whatever, THAT'S when you worry. Right now? Life as usual, folks. Go out and get paid to fuck.

You know, I really don't know why mating is so fascinating and appealing to humans. You do it all the time! I know it's not as easy as some salarians think - that you have to work hard at finding a mate you're comfortable with - but, still. I'll never understand why there's such prestige in it.

Although, hey, I wasn't trying to start anything with that comment up there. It just seemed a little surreal. The energetic appeal to civil duty, combined with the push to expand families and breed to help bring about a glorious future for your species...it makes me think turian combined with krogan, not good old dependable human. I mean, I like humans because they're usually not this gung-ho. I know the war changed a lot, but it's just a bit of a jolt to the system, you know?

It goes beyond being idiotic. It's insulting. I want to know when my colony gets to keep enough resources to rebuild. Seriously. We produce a couple dozen tons of iridium per month. All of it goes to Earth. If we could keep any we could start rebuilding our colony. Instead we're stuck living in overcrowded prefabs and ruined apartment blocks, both of which have no heating. Hey Gil what's the temperature out there today? The thermometer has no voice command but I'm going to take a stab at twenty below.

Furhead government promotes rebuilding measures similar to the Hierarchy. Furhead colonists get uppity about government intruding upon and simultaneously ignoring their needs.

Nothing that the Hierarchy hasn't asked its' citizens to do.

There seems to be a miscommunication. The Systems Alliance will not pay people to take liberties, we will just expends our child support program, the same program that has been in place on numerous colonies, to all colonies and to Earth. It is there to help cover the costs of bringing up a child. This includes a direct credit contribution every month as well as support programs like healthcare and education.

Ah, so 'financially ruin yourself in the wake of the worst holocaust in history' for the cause. Brilliant. Nice to know you're encouraging people to financially ruin themselves with misleading language. And, of course, you dress it up with faux patriotism and social pressure.
