Christmas Gift Advice: The Thread

Seeing as the holidays (for us humans anyway, I don't know if the rest of you has a Christmas equivalent holiday lurking around), are just under two weeks away, the crunch for shopping (Assuming you didn't take advantage of Black Friday/Cyber Monday) is bearing down. I figured, might as well start a thread if you need gift advice. Since I'm starting it, I'll ask (since that's sort of why I made this thread):

I have a friend who is really into big-game hunting. I mean REALLY into it. Practically a life-style for him. Bigger and more dangerous/life-threatening, the better. He's a really good friend of mine. Before the War, I was planning to try and see if I could pay for him to visit Tuchanka, but that's...sort of difficult now. Anyway, he loves hunting, so I figured I'd find something for him related to that, but for the life of me, I don't know what to get him. Could I get some advice? He prefers getting up-close and personal.

Relay travel is expensive, but Tuchanka is still only one jump away from the Citadel. If you coordinated and pooled resources with his other friends and/or family, you could probably get him a pretty decent safari package out there. Hunting on Tuchanka is an experience that is quite difficult to replicate elsewhere.

Seeing as I just asked for help for a friend myself...

Mr. C-Sec Officer, I still have contacts with the old Interstellar Safari (I worked in their offices for some years). If you give me your details, I could send a few messages and see if there's anything they can do. I'm assuming the ships probably got nationalized to carry resources between Earth and the human colonies or something, but who knows? And if they can't get your friend anywhere, I remember some pretty fascinating mock-trophies we had around, you know to impress the customers, make it look exciting? Being Earth-based, that's anything that looks different from Earth animals and is also big and impressive looking. Maybe there's a fuduulan horn or a hoitirrial pelt they could sell you.

You could buy him a new gun. There's heaps of firepower on the market after the war, and some of it would be suitable for hunting.

Also does anyone know what kids like these days? My niece wrote a list but she won't let me have a look at it because 'it's for Santa'.

I'm really not a specialist, but Batarians like to hunt with a pre-spaceflight weapon called Markrash (codex : a powerful variant of crossbow), it's silent, doesn't spoil the meat, and looks very badass.
People of other species like it too, you may want to give it a try.

It's not like they care. Nobody does. It's perfume, it smells nice, that's good, cheap too.

Also boxes of chocolates are insulting, don't buy one.

Hm... How about some nature documentaries?

You could buy her a pottery artisan kit. Or some painting supplies. A lot of retailers are trying to encourage more kids to take up the arts,as a lot of famous artists died during the war.

Nah, I'd just get him a gift certificate for a hunting shop. If he's really into it, he's likely to be super picky about what he wants.
