Terrorist Bombing on Volunteer Center Leads to Action

Baelis Safe Grounds, Southern Torrents, TUCHANKA Authorities, Citadel governments, and Clan leaders alike have been shocked in the aftermath of a terrible attack earlier today, where the headquarters of the volunteer relief organization Hope Springs Eternal was destroyed in a terrorist bombing early this morning.

The bomb went off at around 3:00 AM, local time, during a curfew that was implemented on the camp shortly after the last attack. Of the one hundred fifty eight volunteers and staff, there were no survivors.

“This is absolutely disgusting,” Clan Mother Urakk Aeara said of the attack, “and completely stupid. How can we prove to the galaxy that we’re ready to be a part of the galactic community when we have these pyjaks murdering people who are here to help us rebuild? How can we say we’re ready to have our own military, when they’re trying to say we can’t be trusted with weapons?”

Urakk Clan Leader Battlemaster Tharn put the krogan attitude to these attacks in simpler terms. “When we find out who’s responsible for this, we’ll tear them limb from limb. The clan they come from will be banned from any safe grounds, we’ll make [expletive] sure of that. Anyone who attacks our allies, we make them pay.”

CDEM officials have already started meeting with clan leaders and Citadel governments to investigate these attacks as well as to create protective measures for the volunteers, but some are not waiting.

“Whatever the Citadel or CDEM come up with, it won’t be in time,” Danny Hansen of Soldiers of Peace told Citadel News Net. “They’ve been doing nothing about the attacks. Most of my guys got out of the Alliance so that we could avoid these bomb threats while still doing good. These crazy bastards? The krogan bombing us? They won, I’m leaving this dump.”

While many krogan decry the bombing, some are apparently endorsing the attacks. Quash Urven spoke to Citadel News Net in the aftermath of the bombing. “We don’t need these aliens coddling us, infecting our children. No matter what anyone says, Tuchanka is in the state it is because of alien influence. It will only get worse unless we take back our future.”

Citadel News Net has reached out to Citadel officials, CDEM, and the governments in charge of volunteer efforts. At time of writing, there has been no comment.

This just keeps getting merrier, fucking hell.

Oh for fucks sake. I get that this is a minority of the population, but if whoever is doing this really thinks it's going to make things better for the Krogan they've got less intelligence than a Vorcha on novacoke.

Strange. I seem to recall something about the krogan nuking themselves to death a thousand years or so before the asari discovered FTL. But that was probably just a long-term STG plot.

What the...? 158 people dead? This will probably dry up all the volunteer help to Tuchanka, and it should... If krogan can't control their extreme elements, we shouldn't lay a claw on that planet. Spirits... 158 dead. That's a huge number.

You do realize that Tuchanka a planet, right? With over 1.5 billion krogan on it? I somehow doubt that even the death of over 100 people will stop the tide of blind, unceasing “goodwill.”

Well, I guess this explains why the higher ups decided to halt our volunteer efforts 'until further notice' and shut down our building for security checks. And it's probably the same for all other groups too; they're all scared by this attack.

Again, I point to the other galactic sovereignties who are having separatist problems right now. Why the everlasting fuck are you singling us out?

But in all seriousness, I am truly sorry for those brave men and women of various species who died because of some ignorant Krogan(s) that can't seem too accept simple facts. THE GALAXY IS TRYING TO HELP YOU!

Idiocy. Pure and simple. Not all krogan are like that, but Goddess, if my father were alive to see this... He'd probably be with the first group, lined up with my mother beside him.

I am deeply disturbed by the increasing domestic terrorism on Tuchanka; I understand that there are traditionalist/isolationist elements amongst the krogan but one would think they’d be content with arguing politics like every other species, instead they eagerly turn to violence, and many innocents have suffered for their blind pride and xenophobia. I am against the use of harsh language but I feel it needs to be said; if this minority of krogan extremists deems it fair to use violence against civilians than I believe an equivalent reaction would be to terminate them.

Red, from what I know of the krogan, that's going to be exactly what happens to these extremists.

Overall, the krogan tend towards more direct physical conflict- which has always been their problem, adjusting to peace. And this is the first true test of the current leadership. Cautiously optimistic on whether they can get it right this time around.

While violence as a means of political discourse is something I disagree with, the only appropriate response to these acts is violence. I do hope you are right and that the krogan government either deals with the terrorists, alternatively another group could handle counter-terrorist operations and the krogan government simply need not impede their efforts.
