Capice Shepard Lives!
Instead of being out for a single year-the relay network, and CDN, were out of commission for ten. After that period of long isolation, the characters once again introduce themselves.

Being a human client of the Hierarchy in Sol was one of the more peculiar things that could be found from the Citadel and New Palaven, when humanity's homeworld was right below both. Earth was battered, shattered but it was still a garden world and quite habitable at that, with industry, resources and manpower. Hierarchy in Sol that stayed in touch with their kin across space through few QEC's had none of that.

Turians who had sharp teeth ripping meat and none for grinding tougher foodstuffs found themselves relying on dominantly vegetarian diet. Meat rations and what dextro synthmeat could be made was luxury, rationed tightly. There were difficulties manufacturing supplements to cover the deficiencies from eating things that their bodies weren't intended for. Limited fabrication capacity existed in the ship workshops, but it was nothing compared factories down on Earth. Sure, post-war alliances enabled the turians to use planetside facilities, but saying there were not tensions along species lines would have been lying.

With those tensions, between a planet of humans and fleet of turians, there stood Juhani Ragum on the turian side. He was worried for his adoptive daughter who was nearing boot age, but she had been sick the past years, and he was tired. He didn't want to betray his wife, but she had been missing for a decade. The scars were still raw, but he couldn't hang onto false hope for eternity.

And then came the relay re-openings. After a long wait, there was a galaxy to reconnect to, explore and travel again.

Juhani Ragum, 32 years old and man who was 2/3 done with the compulsory armed service stood at crossroads of his life. Where would it take him and his daughter?
