Overlord
Way back in the hazy days of yonder we had said that, over time, more relays would open.

Now is that time.

We are opening three "new" relays, which is to say that three existing canon relays will be opening up. You guys get your say.

As a reminder, the currently-open relays are:

Local (Earth)
Apien (Palaven)
Athena (Thessia)
Annos (Sur'Kesh)
Kite's Nest (Khar'Shan)
DMZ (Tuchanka)
Veil (Rannoch)
Unnamed (Kahje / Rakhana)
Aethon (Irune)
Silean (Dekuuna)
Omega (Omega)
Exodus (Eden Prime / Terra Nova)
Crescent (Illium)
Horsehead (Noveria)
Nemean Abyss (Cartagena)
Pangaea Expanse (Ilos)

Voting goes for 24 hours, starting... now! (it will close at 8pm central standard, 24 July).

Also, to everyone that's not Dwick: these are votes, but the mods will have the final say. I recommend adding your reasoning behind your choices.

Shrike Abyssal.

Boards wise? We need places to adventure, and the Shrike Abyssal has some pretty big corporate worlds in it (Volus world with a population of 3.8 billion, several trade worlds), the only unconnected homeworld (Heshtok, I'm sure the Void Devils will be overjoyed with their homeworld back). Also some unexploited reaper ruins for RPs.

Logic wise? Resources. Whatever other two you pick, they'll need resources to rebuild. And the now-abandoned Thal system has those in spades. Corporate interests working with reconstruction departments and various governments may well lobby for the Shrike, or regions like the Shrike, to be opened up for the available resources.

Mekan of Omega
Seconding the Shrike Abyssal. Resources and a place to go adventuring? Why the hell not? It'll open up a lot of good angles for criminal, mercenary and other operations. Pirates hitting resource shipments, mercenaries hitting resource shipments or fighting pirates, corpies and spies doing shady things behind the scenes - really, it's a VERY good angle to take for action or espionage-focused plots, which the board really needs right now.

Shamelessly plugging my blog. Click [here]. Currently on hiatus.

Minos Wasteland, the ruins of the cerbie base on Arrae could be interesting.

Mr_Sandman
I previously had no real opinion but since havoc brought it up and I checked it out a bit I think I'll be seconding his proposal.

Shrike Abyssal

Lots of ancient alien ruins, corporate held worlds, vorcha homeworld, and the opportunity for another near Terminus/Terminus system that isn't Illium; the place really fills a number of helpful roles for the boards.

And then, as havoc also said, the cluster is absolutely lousy with resources (Terminus held resources no less which is fodder for some pretty interesting political friction).

Second submission would beeeee

Nubian Expanse

It was a major trading point between the Skyllian Verge/Terminus systems and Citadel Space and it is not unreasonable that a lot of that infrastructure is still salvageable to an extent. So not only would it help encourage sustained trade relations between C-Space and everyone else but, boardwise, it presents an opportunity to develop an additional but distinct near Terminus cluster. On top of, of course, making Verge colonies like Elysium significantly more accessible by FTL slowboat.

Emissary I am Raik Impera.
Ehhhh, let's see

Ismar Frontier

This one is mainly for Zorya and to give all the Blue Suns grief. (The rest of the place is interesting though.)

The Shrike Abyssal

This already has votes for it and very good reasons behind it so nothing needed there.

Sigurd's Cradle

Cerberus assets, Alliance Assets, stupid films, and Leviathans. Bring on the adventure there.

Stagnancy, as Kherat told, is death.

Burnout
Gotta vote Shrike Abyssal for reasons I think everyone else put pretty well.

ProgrammingWithFire
The Ninmah Cluster should probably be on the list, since it's already open. That said, I think I'll vote for...

The Petra Nebula: Access to Elysium.

The Shrike Abyssal: For reasons that Mr_Sandman and Havoc have already pointed out.

Sigurd's Cradle: Abundant resources, two garden worlds (three if you count Triginta Petra), I can imagine that Watson would make for an interesting conflict what with it's unique national identity in the first place, and there's the aforementioned Cerberus and Alliance tech. As an added bonus, Crick has lots of easily accessible potassium salts, which are implied to be useful for terraforming.

Mr_Sandman
And I'll throw my third vote to

Sigurd's Cradle

Multiple systems settled by several races including humans, asari, and turians plus a great deal of mining infrastructure and precedent for moderate to heavy Terminus influence. Very much a "frontier" region with all the RP opportunities that implies (on top of the valuable ruins and settlements like Cerberus bases on Sanctum or the labs on Chalkhos created post war). Plus Despoina (assuming the Leviathan have relocated in the wake of their discovery) in all it's ambient lovecraftian goodness.

One must therefore be a fox to recognize traps, and a lion to frighten wolves.

VVSVISVA
My second and third vote will go to...

Sigurd's Cradle: Interesting area, lots going on. Frontier region's are interesting, and are a viable method for Terminus/Council close up interaction, which is cool. Also, Lovecraft.

Nubian Expanse: It brings more Alliance Colonies into play without directly being 'Alliance gets the vast majority of Relay Openings', I like the development it implies, and the trade relations and salvageable infrastructure would be important post-war.

Mr_Sandman
The Verge also has a fair amount of batarian colonies too if I recall correctly, plus mercenary armies (Big Three whoot!), and assorted other shady characters and dealings that can be accessed through the Nubian Expanse.

One must therefore be a fox to recognize traps, and a lion to frighten wolves.

Nimbus Cluster - Many interesting colonies and mining worlds
Sigurd's Cradle - As well, a very interesting location and gateway as already noted
Ninmah Cluster - hello rachni? They are there somewhere, arn't they?

Oh, interesting!

Caleston Rift is a great cluster inside the Traverse
Nimbus Cluster, because there are important asari colonies.

Ninmah, It would be great if the Rachni would become accessible EDIT: I just discovered ProgrammingWithFire's post, that its alread open, but missing on the list.

I'd like to vote for the Mactare relay, which opens up access to Taetrus. I think it would be really interesting to see what's become of Taetrus since the war.

I'm also going to vote for Shrike Abyssal and Sigurd's Cradle for reasons previously listed.

But I've a rendezvous with Death

When Spring trips north again this year,
And I to my pledged word am true,
I shall not fail that rendezvous.
